Praca przedstawia analizę procesu rozpraszania energii w absorberze wypełnionym sprężonym powietrzem. W pierwszej części rozdzielnie potraktowano proces deformacji kolumny Aleksandra i sprężania powietrza. W drugiej wyznaczono zdyssypowaną energię zakładając interakcje deformacji metalu i sprężania powietrza.

The paper presents an elementary analysis of the crushing process of thin-walled circular tubes filled with compresses air. The fundamental Alexander solution is taken as a starting point to develop analytical solutions for quasi-static crushing response of pressurized tubes. The paper investigates two models: one without interactions between compressed air and deforming tube and the more advanced model that takes into account the influence of the gas filter into the folding pattern of the tube. It is demonstrated that the energy absorption capacity of a tube pressurized to 1 MPa is increased up to 50%.
