W pracy przedstawiono wzajemne relacje transportu z turystyką. Zobrazowano transport lotniczy jako atrakcję turystyczną. Na bazie sondażu diagnostycznego pokazano preferencje turystów podróżujących środkiem transportu powietrznego w Polsce.

The paper presents mutual relations between transport and tourism. Air transport is illustrated as a tourist attraction. On the basis of a diagnostic survey, the preferences of tourists traveling by means of air transport in Poland were shown.

W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki badań dotyczących turystyki wiejskiej jako formy spędzania czasu wolnego wśród mieszkańców obwodu sumskiego. Badania, z wykorzystaniem techniki ankiety, przeprowadzono w czerwcu 2013 r. na próbie 228 mieszkańców tego regionu. W opracowaniu scharakteryzowano infrastrukturę noclegową obwodu, a także dokonano charakterystyki ruchu turystycznego na jego terenie. Przeprowadzone badania umożliwiły zaprezentowanie skojarzeń respondentów z terminem „turystyka wiejska" oraz ich doświadczeń związanych z wypoczynkiem na wsi. Omówiono również preferencje respondentów związane z wypoczynkiem w środowisku wiejskim – rozważania te poszerzono o analizy czynników warunkujących te preferencje, którymi były wiek oraz miejsce zamieszkania badanych. Zaprezentowano ponadto opinie respondentów na temat atrakcyjności wybranych elementów turystyki wiejskiej.

The article presents the results of research on rural tourism as a form of leisure activity among the residents of the Sumy region. Research using survey technique, carried out in June 2013 on a sample of 228 residents of Sumy region. In the paper was made characteristic of accommodation infrastructure of the region, as well as tourist traffic on its territory. Research allowed to present associations of respondents with the term „rural tourism" and their experiences with the rest in rural areas. It also discusses the preferences of the respondents associated with recreation in rural areas - these considerations was extended to the analysis of the determinants of these preferences, which were age and place of residence of the respondents. Further shown respondents' opinions about the attractiveness of selected elements of rural tourism.
