In the article, a method of determining the critical level of deformation of ferritic steel S355JR on the basis of measurements of grain elongation is proposed. Tests were carried out on steel in two microstructure states: ferrite-pearlite and bainite. Parameter values for the Ramberg-Osgood law and true stress-strain dependencies were set. The results obtained were compared with the results obtained according to other methods.

W pracy przeprowadzono badania nad wpływem metody dopasowania związków konstytutywnych Ramberga-Osgood'a do doświadczalnej krzywej rozciągania na rozkład naprężeń przed frontem pęknięcia oraz na całkę J w materiałach sprężysto-plastycznych. Weryfikację przeprowadzono wykorzystując obliczenia numeryczne dla próbek trójpunktowo zginanych (SEN(B)) zdominowanych przez płaski stan naprężeń (PSN) i płaski stan odkształcIeń (PSO).

In the paper the influence of matching of constitutive relatonship to experimental stress-strain curve on the stress field in front of the crack tip in the elastic-plastic materials was tested. Finite elements method was used to describe stress distribution and value of J-integral for single edge notch bending specimens (SEN(B)) in plane stress and plane strain.
