The principles of using computers for physical experiments and measurement data processing, worked out in the Physical Laboratory I at the Department of Physics of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan on the basis of many-years experience of the Physics Teaching Division headed by the author, are presented. The benefits of the use of computers in educational experiments are illustrated by a few examples. The ways of avoiding certain educational difficulties related to the use of computer methods in educational experiments are discussed.
