W artykule podano bilans energii za rok 2021 w porównaniach z rokiem 2020. Stwierdzono m. in. że w minionym roku nastąpiła większa konsumpcja energii elektrycznej w kraju. Eksport energii elektrycznej sięgnął wyżyn sprzed lat, a import zmalał znacząco. Generacja w kraju znacząco się zwiększyła, do tego z węgla w skali, jakiej dawno nie było. Z prezentowanego w artykule najnowszego raportu World Energy Outlook 2021, okazanego przez IEA w Paryżu w grudniu 2021 roku, a zwłaszcza scenariusza Ogłoszonych Polityk STEPS (Stated Policies Scenario) wynika, że handel gazem przypomniał swoją siłę rażenia w geopolitycznej grze potentatów. W różnych częściach świata w różnej skali. A głód na energię elektryczną gospodarek świata wymusił sięganie po generację z paliw stałych, głównie z węgla. Bo potencjał źródeł węglowych przede wszystkim w mocach zainstalowanych jest nadal niezbędny do ubezpieczenia niestabilnej, a dynamicznie rosnącej generacji z OZE. Światowa gospodarka próbuje wracać do stanów sprzed pandemii. Ceny paliw i energii elektrycznej powalają wiele branż. A na horyzoncie zagrożenia z konfliktu militarnego na naszej wschodniej granicy.

Presented is the energy balance for the year 2021 in comparisons with the year 2020. Stated is, among the others, that the electric energy consumption in our country grew up during the last year. Export reached the heights from years ago and import significantly decreased. Domestic power generation substantially increased and - what's more - from coal and on the scale that has not been observed for a long time. From the presented in this article the latest World Enegy Outlook 2021 report shawn by the IEA in Paris in December 2021 and especially the STEPS (Stated Policies Scenario) it follows that gas trading reminded of its striking power in the geopolitical game of potentates. On a different scale in various parts of the world. And the hunger for electric energy from the world's economies forced reaching for solid fuels generation, mainly from coal. Because the potential of coal sources - first of all in installed capacities - is still indispensable to protect unstable but dynamically growing RES generation. The world's economy tries to return to the state from before the pandemic. Prices of uels and electric energy knock down many industries. And on the horizon one can see a threat of a military conflict on our eastern border.

W artykule podano bilans energii za rok 2019 w porównaniach z rokiem poprzednim. Scharakteryzowano zmiany w produkcji elektrowni zawodowych. Wskazano na utrzymującą się od kilku lat tendencję zmniejszania produkcji energii elektrycznej z elektrowni węgla kamiennego, a zwłaszcza brunatnego. Odnotowano fakt, iż w całym 2019 roku nie było przerw w dostawach energii elektrycznej z niedostatków generacji. Te, które miały miejsce nastąpiły z przyczyn awarii sieciowych, dystrybucyjnych głównie wskutek ekstremalnych wiatrów. W grudniu 2019 r. pojawiła się propozycja KE „Europejskiego Zielonego Ładu” (Green Deal), która wnosi nową koncepcję klimatyczną Unii Europejskiej. „Polityka Energetyczna Polski do roku 2040” już do niej nie przystaje. Aby podjąć polityczne zobowiązanie co do jej przyjęcia trzeba mieć możliwość oglądu dokumentów w ramach kompetencji KE.

Shown is the energy balance for the year 2019 in comparison with the previous year. Characterized are changes in generation volume of commercial power plants. Pointed out is the continuing tendency of the past years to reduce electric energy production by hard-coal fired power plants and especially the lignite ones. Noted is the fact that during the whole year 2019 there were no interruptions in power supplies resulting from generation deficiency. The ones that had place actually occurred due to distribution network failures mainly as a result of windstorms. In December 2019 the EC presented a proposal of the "European Green Deal" bringing a new EU climate concept. The "Polish Energy Policy until 2040" is not any longer compatible with it but prior to making the political commitment concerning its adoption there is a need of having the possibility to overview documents in the frames of the EC competences.

Because of deteriorating condition of the environment and more and more difficult situation on the market of energy fuels, the role of renewable energy sources is increasing. In the paper an analysis was performed on the development limitations and perspectives of renewable energy sources on the Polish market. The analysis conducted shows that the renewable energy sources start to be used in a bigger scale in Poland. It may also be noticed that the significance of the particular renewable energy sources is dynamically changing in time. In year 2005 hydropower was largely dominating among the renewable energy sources, however, in 2016 wind power was clearly prevailing. One of the most important factors determining the development of renewable energy sources in Poland are legal conditions. They were subject to analysis, taking into account the European Union regulations and Polish regulations. The research was based on literature review, analysis of legal regulations and of data coming from the reports and statistics published by the Central Statistical Office, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Environment, Energy Regulatory Office, Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, and other organizations.
