Content available Description of Measurements on Biogas Stations

This paper focuses mainly on performance analysis for three biogas stations situated within the territory of the Czech Republic. This paper contains basic details of the individual biogas stations as well as description of their types. It also refers to the general description of the measurement gauge involved, with specifications of its potential use. The final part of this paper deals with the analysis of course data obtained, with special regard to voltage, current, active power and reactive power data.

Delay-based Dual-rail Pre-charge Logic (DDPL) is a logic style introduced with the aim of hiding power consumption in cryptographic circuits when a Power Analysis (PA) attack is mounted. Its particular data encoding allows to make the adsorbed current constant for each data input combination, irrespective of capacitive load conditions. The purpose is to break the link between dynamic power and data statistics and preventing power analysis. In this work we present a novel implementation of a dynamic differential master-slave flip-flop which is compatible with the DDPL data encoding. Efforts were made in order to design a completely dynamic master-slave architecture which does not require a conversion of the signals from dynamic to static domain. Moreover we show that the area occupied is also reduced due to a compact differential layout. Simulations performed using a 65nm-CMOS process showed that the proposed circuit exhibits good performance in terms of NED (Normalized Energy Deviation) and CV (Coefficient of Variation) of the current samples as required in transistor level countermeasures against power analysis, and it outperforms other previously published DPA-resistant flip-flops in the real case of unbalanced load conditions.

Artykuł przedstawia statystyczny opis zagadnienia wykrycia wystąpienia przejścia symptomu stanu przez arbitralnie nakreślone poziomy alarmowe. Jako podstawę nakreślonego procesu decyzyjnego przyjęto estymację przedziałową.

The paper discusses the problem of fault detection based on the statistical analysis of a diagnostic signal compared with arbitrarily chosen alarm levels that are passed in case of the fault. As the way to make the decision on the detection the confidence intervals were taken.

Content available Power equalization of AES FPGA implementation

This paper briefly introduces side channel attacks on cryptographic hardware with special emphasis on differential power analysis (DPA). Based on existing countermeasures against DPA, design method combining power equalization for synchronous and combinatorial circuits has been proposed. AES algorithm has been implemented in Xilinx Spartan II-E field programmable gate array (FPGA) device using the standard and power-equalized methods. Power traces for DPA have been collected using XPower tool. Simulation results show that standard AES implementation can be broken after N=500 encryptions, while power-equalized counterpart shows no correlation between power consumption and the cipher key after N=2000 encryptions.

Przedstawiono przykład wykorzystania całorocznej analizy energetycznej budynku biurowego „Tulipan", jako podstawy do wymiarowania i ekonomicznego uzasadnienia proponowanych rozwiązań technicznych. Omówiono przykładowe profile zapotrzebowania na poszczególne nośniki energii oraz profile pracy podstawowych urządzeń układu. Przedstawiono bilans energetyczny budynku oraz pracy układu trigeneracyjnego, a także wyniki analizy ekonomicznej, która wykazała opłacalność stosowania tego rodzaju rozwiązań.

An application example of the annual power analysis of TULIP AN office building is presented as a basis for dimensioning and economic justification of proposed technical solutions. The ESPr program was used for power simulation of the building. The results obtained were used for work simulation of trigenerative power supply system of the building. The building is supplied with the natural gas and co-operating with a power network. The co-operation is based on selling the energy surplus and energy consuming during periods of maximum power demand. The outer air used in an air conditioning system is heated or cooled additionally in a ground heat exchanger. The paper presents examples of basic requirement profiles for respective energy carriers. Operation profiles of main parts of the system are also described. The energy balance of the building is given as well as trigenerative system operation includinhg the results of an economic analysis. The latter shows effectiveness of solutions presented.
