The solubility in the systems: NaVO3 + CO(NH2)2 + H2O and KVO3 + CO(NH2)2 + H2O at the temperature 293 K and 313 K was measured employing the isothermal solution method. These results are used to plot part of the polythermal solubility surface for the investigated systems. Compound formation did not occur. The results will be helpful in making conclusions concerning the use of urea to minimize the losses of toxic vanadium compounds.

The mutual solubility of KHCO3 and NH4HCO3 in water have been determined between 293 K and 323 K. On the basis of these results a polytherm section (in mole per 1000 g H2O) for the KHCO3+ NH4HCO3+ H2O system has been drawn. These data are essential for the assessment of a new, non - waste production method of potassium carbonate.
