Zaprezentowano wyniki badania metod rozpoznawania ziaren na podstawie zmierzonych danych, reprezentujących topografię jednowarstwowej ściernicy. Metody te uwzględniają informację dotyczącą wyznaczonego poziomu odcięcia (metoda Threshold) lub odnoszącą się do segmentacji wododziałowej. Ponadto zaproponowano sposób wyznaczania średniego poziomu spoiwa.

The paper presents results of research concerning methods used for determining grain separation from measured data representing single-layer grinding wheel topography. The methods apply information concerning determined threshold level (Threshold method) or concerning watershed segmentation (Watershed method). A method for determining the average level of bond was also proposed.

Analysis of pores in pig meat images

In this paper we present an image processing application for quantification of pores in pig meat images. The aim is to study the relationship between the number and size distribution of pores and process condition and genotype. We used digital camera photographs of slices of tumbled and non-tumbled processed pork loins of different RN genotype. We describe a method to extract and count the number and size of pores. We propose a new approach, based on fractal theory, to quantify the size distribution of pores. Our results show that image analysis in conjunction with fractal models can be useful in this field.
