The flexible polyurethane foams based on commercial system with addition of 10 or 20 parts by weight of functionalized waste polyurethane foam (fPUR) were prepared. The influence of fPUR presence on technological times, mechanical properties and combustibility of PU foams was investigated. The introduction of fPUR into polyurethane system caused a prolongation of technological times, but did not affect the change in mechanical properties and thermal stability of the final foam. Additive of fPUR caused significant reduction in the amount of carbon monoxide evolved during foam combustion. The tests regarding the flammability of foams were of preliminary character.
