At the foundation of this research lies the belief that the sex can directly differentiate the perception of counterproductive behavior at work and also can be a moderator of the influence of different variables on the perception of counterproductive behaviors. The survey research was carried out in June 2017, with the use of Internet-based survey questionnaire (CAWI). There were altogether 198 police officers examined. The hypothesis of the occurrence of the dependence between the sex and the perception of counterproductive behaviors was subjected to verification. The chi-square test of independence and test of significance of differences between means were applied. The conclusions following from the research offer significant implications for elaboration of relevant procedures in the sphere of managing human resources in the police force, among others, with the aim to have the principle of equality of chances and that of equal treatment of women and men respected.

Komunikacja wewnętrzna w Policji stanowi fundament skuteczności jej funkcjonowania, a także określa ramy wewnętrznych procesów w komunikacji zachodzących w tej organizacji. Bez odpowiedniej komunikacji w Policji różne jej zasoby przestają być użyteczne. Stąd sprawne zarządzanie wymaga stosowania właściwych instrumentów komunikacyjnych w celu bieżącego wspomagania kierowania, stosowania właściwych metod porozumiewania się, wspomagających system motywacyjny oraz wykorzystywania instrumentów komunikacyjnych w celu identyfikowania potrzeb rozwojowych kadry kierowniczej. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest zaprezentowanie istoty komunikacji wewnętrznej i jej percepcji przez samych policjantów. Zamierzeniem autora było wskazanie, jaką rolę pełni komunikacja wewnętrzna w aspekcie informowania i komunikowania się policjantów między sobą. Ponadto autor wskazał na procesy komunikacyjne, które zachodzą w relacjach pionowych pomiędzy poszczególnymi jednostkami i komórkami organizacyjnymi Policji. Wsparł się przy tym wywiadami przeprowadzonymi w pracownikami Policji Komendy Miejskiej Policji w Poznaniu.

Internal communication is the cornerstone in police force. It improves its functioning, and also provides a framework for internal communication processes taking place in this organization. Without adequate communication in its various resources, police force is no longer useful. Hence, effective management requires the use of appropriate communication tools to support current management, the use of the appropriate methods of communication, motivation and support system using communication tools to identify the development needs of managers. The purpose of this paper is to present the essence of internal communication and its perception by police officers themselves. The author's intention was to identify the function of internal communication in terms of informing and communicating between police officers. Furthermore, the author focuses on the communication processes that occur in the vertical relationships between individuals and the organizational units of police force. This is supported by the interviews carried out in the City Police Headquarters in Poznań. Keywords: police force, internal communication, public relations, management system.
