The results of observations enamels coating degradations on heat surface of gas - gas preheaters. It has been found that aggressive environment in wet gas causes local corrosion on the surface enamel sheets. During the exploitations the corrosion processes are growing up. In effect gas - gas heaters must be turn off.

The article shows problems of demage and some results of reserches of the heat elements in the gas preheater which worked in the power plants. At the stage of reserches, the obtain date showed that corrosion - and erosion- resistant depend on chemical composition of the enamel on the sheet surface.
