The paper describes a new methodology that allows to design scalable complex control and data acquisition systems taking into consideration the additional, non-functional requirements of High-Energy Physics (HEP). Electronic systems applied in HEP often operate in difficult conditions. Access to such devices is difficult or even impossible. The HEP systems require high availability, serviceability and upgradeability. The operating conditions of these systems are even more difficult than for telecommunication devices. Therefore, a different methodology should be applied than for classical telecommunication systems, when designing electronics used in high-energy physics applications. Electronic systems also need a suitable hardware platform that not only assures high availability, simplifies maintenance and servicing but also allows to use mixed analogue-digital signals. The author made an attempt to develop a new methodology suitable for designing of complex data acquisition and control systems of HEP. The Low Level RF (LLRF) system of European Free Electron Laser (EXFEL) and Image Acquisition System (IAS) prototype developed for International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) tokamak are presented as examples of complex electronic systems that were designed according to the proposed methodology.

W artykule omówiono istotę podatności obsługowej, przedstawiono niektóre terminy, określenia oraz ich interpretację podano czynniki wpływające na podatność obsługową oraz konsekwencje tej właściwości występujące w procesie normalnej eksploatacji. Przedstawiono kryteria i miary oceny podatności obsługowej, a w tym: rodzaje, sposób obliczania i interpretację wskaźników, które tę właściwość charakteryzują. Omówiono sposób badania podatności, podano algorytm postępowania podczas oceny podatności oraz podano wnioski i zalecenia dotyczące projektowania pojazdów w sposób umożliwiający uzyskanie wysokiej podatności obsługowej.

Essence of the ease of handling is discussed in this paper. Some terms and definitions with their interpretation have been given as well as various factors determining ease of handling as well its consequences experienced during routine operation. Criteria and measures of the ease of handling: types, method for the calculation and interpretation of characteristic indices. Moreover, method for testing flexibility was presented as well as algorithm for the flexibility evaluation procedure. Conclusions and recommendations given in the paper concern design of rail vehicles so they could achieve high ease of handling.

The various possible stages of the separator's work, including full and partial readiness to work and unserviceability have been considered. Oil separator transition through each of the working stages has been described. Typical oil separator damages have been specified. It has also been pointed out that there are possibilities to diagnose separators during their working time. The significance of separator starting time until the moment of achieving nominal working parameters has been emphasised. For the selected type of separator, nominal parameter values have been defined. The possibilities of measuring the oil separator working parameters and applying them to diagnose its ability to work have been described.

Przedstawiono możliwe stany pracy wirówek, uwzględniając stan pełnej zdatności, częściowej zdatności i niezdatności. Wskazano miejsca typowych uszkodzeń występujących w wirówkach oleju. Wskazano na możliwość diagnozowania wirówek w czasie pracy i podkreślono znaczenie czasu rozruchu wirówki do momentu uzyskania parametrów nominalnych pracy. Dla wybranego typu wirówki przedstawiono nominalne wartości parametrów pracy. Opisano możliwość pomiarów parametrów pracy wirówki i wykorzystanie ich do zdiagnozowania jej zdatności.
