Trwająca restrukturyzacja górnictwa wymusza na kopalniach poszukiwanie rozwiązań zapewniających zmniejszenie kosztów produkcji pozwalających na uzyskanie lepszych wyników finansowych. Jednym z takich sposobów jest wykorzystanie położenia geograficznego sąsiednich ruchów KWK „Ruda”: „Bielszowice” i „Pokój”, niegdyś samodzielnych kopalń, co zostało przedstawione w niniejszym artykule.

The ongoing restructuring of the mining industry forces the mines to look for solutions that will ensure reduction of production costs allowing to achieve better financial results. One such way is to use the geographical location of the neighboring mining areas of the „Ruda” coal mine: „Bielszowice” and „Pokój”, previously independent mines, as presented in this article.

The paper describes the problem of selecting the wind turbine for a particular geographic location focusing on the obtained energetic effectiveness. Establishing its value requires determining the amount of electric energy generated by the turbine. There are three methods to determine the amount of energy that is generated by the turbine, two of them using a statistical mechanism connected with Weibull probability density distribution. Differences have been identified both in the input data for those methods as well as in the ways in which the distribution parameters are established: the shape parameter, k, and the scale parameter c. Test calculations were performed for four types of wind turbines. It was proven that using different methods of determining the Weibull distribution parameters affects the precision of the wind conditions mapping and the energy effectiveness of the turbine that is connected with it in a particular geographic location.
