The article presents the possibilities of the hybrid welding (laser + MAG) of T-joints, discusses primary technological conditions of the HLAW process as well as discusses the possibilities of using the HLAW method when making various types of T-joints in various configurations of interface preparation, joint positioning and laser beam-MAG welding torch alignment.

Przedstawiono możliwości technologii spawania hybrydowego (laser + metoda MAG) w zakresie spawania złączy teowych. Omówiono podstawowe warunki technologiczne procesu HLAW. Opisano możliwości wykonania metodą HLAW różnych rodzajów złączy teowych w różnych konfiguracjach przygotowania styku, pozycjonowania złączy i wzajemnego ustawienia wiązki lasera oraz uchwytu spawalniczego MAG.

The paper presented focuses on the comparison of the measurement results obtained in laboratory experiments on joints composed of rectangular and circular hollow sections. Special attention is paid to T-section joints that consist of single chord and brace members. The evaluation procedure monitors the resistances and deformations of such joints.
