This paper proposes a preliminary calibration and validation of a macroscopic traffic flow model for signalised junctions. In fact, on the network signal setting design problem, a reliable modelling approach must be adopted to acknowledge the traffic flow effects, considering two phenomena: queue dispersion and spillback. The proposed model is an extension of the space-time discrete Cell Transmission Model (CTM), which can simulate dispersion and horizontal queue. This preliminary calibration and validation use real-world data collected on an arterial of the city of Salerno (south of Italy). Results showed that the estimated parameters are consistent with the literature.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki analizy kluczowych dokumentów doktrynalnych pod względem możliwości wdrożenia i eksploatowania w Siłach Zbrojnych RP bezzałogowych pojazdów lądowych zabezpieczenia logistycznego kompanii i plutonu. Zaprezentowano ich miejsce i rolę w ogólnej systematyce klasyfikacyjnej odnoszącej się do bezzałogowych pojazdów lądowych. Scharakteryzowano przykłady dostępnych rozwiązań mogących skutecznie zabezpieczać potrzeby pododdziałów takich jak kompania czy pluton. Na podstawie przeprowadzonej analizy sformułowano wnioski, które mogą stanowić podstawę do rozważań szczegółowych i formułowania wstępnych warunków taktyczno-technicznych.

This article presents the results of analysis main doctrinal documents in terms of deployment and use unmanned ground vehicles for company and platoon logistics support in the Polish Armed Forces. Shown their place and role in the overall scheme of the classification relating to unmanned ground vehicles. Afterwards describes examples of the available solutions that can effectively protect the needs of units such as company or platoon. On the basis of the carried out analysis was formulated conclusions, that may give rise to specific considerations and the formulation of the initial conditions of tactical parameters.

The research into the use of less costly modifications of road links and networks, and changes in the service of road surroundings aimed at ensuring an improvement of through traffic performance in suburban areas, and on roads passing through built-up areas as small localities, with application of simulation model, is presented in this paper. From among possible designs, the authors investigated and presented the effectiveness of two, i.e. implementation of an additional multifunctional median lane in the road cross-section, and construction of service roads with different locations of intersections (end or middle of the road section). The analysis is focused on the impact of such changes on traffic performance and road safety. The authors analysed travel speed, delay and share of platoon traffic on a uniform sections of the road for different types of road surroundings service. The study presents the results of analyses of road network before and after modification, and the assessment of: impact of access points density and level of their use on road traffic performance, impact of driving through road sections in built-up area on building platoon traffic, impact of change in the cross-section type on traffic performance.
