W plastografometrze Brabendera, w komorze gniotownika o różnych nastawionych temperaturach badano przebieg żelowania mieszanin PVC S-61 z niewielkim udziałem ftalanu diokrylu. Przeprowadzono analizę zmian momentu obrotowego w funkcji rzeczywistej temperatury żelujących mieszanin oraz analizę termogramów DSC próbek ugniatanych w komorze o temp. 170°C. Stwierdzono, że intensywne żelowanie mieszanin PVC S-61 następuje w pobliżu temp. 180°C niezależnie od nastawionej temperatury komory gniotownika. Temperatura rozgraniczająca endotermy topnienia krystalitów wtórnych i pierwotnych jest wyższa od temperatury przetwórstwa. Wprowadzenie do mieszanin twardego PVC około 2% plastyfikatora powoduje obniżenie temperatury żelowania PVC o około 5°C.

Using a Brabender plastographometer, the course of gelling mixtures of PVC S-61 with small amounts of dioctyl phtalate was examined at different temperatures existing in a kneader chamber. Analyzed are changes in turning moment, in relation of gelling mixtures' real temperatures, as well as DSC thermograms of samples kneaded in the chamber at ca. 170°C. It was found that at ca. 180°C, irrespective of the temperature adjusted in the kneader chamber, an intense process of gelling PVC S-61 takes place. The temperature delimitating endotherms of preliminary and secondary crystallites is higher than that of processing temperature. Incorporating of a ca. 2% plasticizer into the hard PVC mixtures results in decreasing PVC gelling temperature by a 5°C.
