The marine Miocene in the Southern Poland occurs within theflysch sequence of Outer Carpathians and in its foredeep. In Carpathians a continuous succession of nannoplankton zones from NP24 to NN4 had been found, while the earliest sediments of the foredeep may be assigned only to the NN3 nannoplankton and N6-N7foraminiferal zones. Selected species of foraminifera and calcareous nannoplankton have been described and illustrated.
