Ślimaki stożkowe o zmiennym skoku, stosowane w układach uplastyczniających wytłaczarek, których geometria jest zmienna na długości ślimaka, nie są sprawdzane pod względem dokładności wykonania. Dlatego też przedstawiono sprawdzanie dokładności wykonania ślimaków poprzez pomiar ich zarysu czołowego czujnikiem lub wzornikiem.
