In view of today's physical threats, Poland has adopted a new security doctrine. This publication in its assumption intends to outline the thesis on the centralized management and command of the unified military structure, in the context of the systemic approach to our country defense strategy. The study contemplates the Russia's policy, aimed at strengthening its position of a global great power in terms of weakening ties within North Atlantic Treaty Organization, with a particular focus on the regional interests of each of its members. The presented concept of the contemporary army based on joint task forces, characterized by close co-operation of various types of forces and efficient logistics, managed by the modern chain of command, is the major development direction in the field of defense. It is of crucial importance to reorganize our military forces in correlation to the hybrid dimension of contemporary war conflicts.

W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań właściwości chemicznych i fizycznych betonu znajdującego się w dolnym pierścieniu obwodowym kopuły Hali Stulecia w Wrocławiu. Badania przeprowadzone były w drugiej połowie 2009 roku oraz w pierwszej połowie 2015 roku. Ponadto wykonano dodatkowo badania mikrostruktury betonu przy użyciu tomografu komputerowego oraz, na podstawie serii testów nanoindentacji, wykonanych w nanoindenterze. Dotychczas przeprowadzone badania potwierdzają wysoką jakość betonu. Kruszywo znajdujące się w badanych próbkach to w większości łamany granit strzegomski. W kruszywie o frakcjach poniżej 8 mm zaobserwowano występowanie żużlu paleniskowego o dużej porowatości oraz wtrącenia w postaci ścinków drewnianych. Ocenę składu mineralogicznego betonu wykonano wykorzystując wyniki analizy składu tlenkowego. Przez zmniejszoną zawartość CaO skład tlenkowy zbliżony jest do składu cementu hutniczego. Wprowadzając świadomie do mieszanki betonowej żużel paleniskowy uzyskano zwartą mikrostrukturę betonu. Stwardniały zaczyn w badanym betonie wykazuje doskonałą przyczepność do łamanego kruszywa granitowego. Posiada strukturę zwartą, gęstą, o bardzo niskiej nasiąkliwości. Mikrotwardość badanego betonu wyniosła 1,8 GPa, a moduł sprężystości E = 33 GPa. W badaniach wykonanych za pomocą mikrotomografu komputerowego oznaczona porowatość w badanych próbkach wyniosła ok. 10%. W strukturze przeważają mikropory poniżej 300 μm.

The paper reports on results of chemical and physical testing of concrete sampled from the lower circumferential ring of the dome of the Centennial Hall In Wrocław. Testing was conducted in the second half of 2009 and in the first half of 2015. Additionally, an analysis of the concrete microstructure was undertaken using a computer tomography and a number of nano-indentation tests were carried out with a nanoindentation device. Analysis of the concrete carried out to date confi rms high concrete quality. The aggregate in tested specimens comprises mainly crushed Strzegom granite. In aggregate fractions lower than 8 mm, the presence of high porosity slag and wood chip inclusions was observed. Analysis of concrete mineral composition was conducted using results of an oxide composition analysis. The oxide composition of this cement is close to the composition of blast-furnace cement. Introduction of slag into the concrete mix resulted in a dense microstructure of the concrete. The hardened cement paste in the tested concrete demonstrates excellent adhesion to crushed granite aggregate. This is characterised by a dense structure, with low absorbability. Micro-hardness of tested concrete was determined to equal 1,8 GPa and the modulus of elasticity E = 33 GPa. In studies conducted using micro-CT the porosity for tested samples found to be approximately 10%. In the structure the majority are micropores smaller than 300 μm.

This paper propose determining the measurement uncertainty of the coefficient and the exponents of an empirical predictive power model in the metal cutting machining processes. Uncertainty of the coefficient and exponents represent model’s capability and quality for further use. For empirical model ling it is used Design of experiments (DOE) method.

Ekologia przemysłowa opiera się na analogiach i myśleniu lateralnym, zapożyczając, dostosowując i przekraczając nowe granice wyobrażeń i innowacyjnych rozwiązań, mających ułatwić drogę do zrównoważonego rozwoju. Mówiąc o kluczowej roli, jaką ludzkość musi odegrać w urzeczywistnieniu tego rozwoju, odkrywamy niezwykłą analogię pomiędzy holistycznym indywidualnym rozwojem człowieka i trojaką koncepcją "triple bottom line" (w zakresie gospodarczym, społecznym i środowiskowym), związaną ze zrównoważonym rozwojem całej ludzkości żyjącej na Ziemi. Jednostka to poziom materialny (potrzeby ciała), jednak celem jej rozwoju powinno być osiągnięcie właściwych proporcji w szerszym kontekście pomiędzy czynnikami fizycznymi, emocjonalnymi i duchowymi. Kiedy stanie się to udziałem wszystkich jednostek, wykoślawiona społeczno-ekonomiczna technosfera stopniowo przeobrazi się w pełni rozwiniętą. Paradoksalnie ludzie muszą poznać siebie, zrozumieć swoją istotę duchową, aby technosfera objęła także troskę o Ziemię.

Industrial ecology is founded on analogies and lateral thinking, borrowing and adapting, and opening up the frontiers of imagination and innovativeness to make the road to sustainable development more tractable. Talking of the key role mankind needs to play to make sustainable development a reality, a wonderful analogy is uncovered - between holistic individual human development and the triple bottom line approach (economic, social and environmental) to sustainable progress of humanity as a whole on the surface of the earth. An individual starts off from gross materialism (body) but needs to aim for the right blend of physical, emotional and spiritual advancement in life. When all individuals do so, a lop-sided socio-economic techno-sphere will gradually metamorphose into a fully-evolved one. Paradoxically, individuals need to delve in and comprehend their spiritual selves, for the technosphere to fan out and embrace the earth of which it is just a small component.

Przedstawiono podstawowe charakterystyki systemu III generacji UMTS. Omówiono zagadnienia rozpraszania widma, ortogonalizacji sygnałów i modulacji, a także formaty pakietów zarówno w łączu w górę, jak i w dół w trybie dupleksu częstotliwościowego. Uwypuklono istotną rolę odbiornika RAKE w uzyskaniu wysokiej jakości odbioru pomimo zaników w kanale.

In the paper basic characteristics of third generation mobile system UMTS have been presented. The spreading/channelisation codes and modulation as well as physical channel format on the uplink and downlink of radio interface in the frequency division duplex mode have been described. Some important problems of signal reception with the use of RAKE receiver have been emphasized.

The author describes physical studies which were carried at Vilnius University from 1775 to 1852. R. Kivilsiene uses hand-written and printed sources.The figures of eminent professos are also described by her. There are for example Stefan Stubielewicz and Jozef Mickiewicz among them. The next question taken into consideration is forming of physical laboratory and library. The author considers that was strong influence of instructions of Comitee for National Education refered to Natural Sciences at Vilnius University. The influence was noticeable eveven in time of Russian domination.
