The phenomenon of decentralization of inhabitancy directed beyond the limits of spatial structures qualified as urban, occur most of all among middle class (which constitutes the majority in group of building investors). We may simply talk about the increasing tendency of flowing people from this class to the outskirts of the city. In an author's opinion contrary to the expressions in thesis, the reason for that, beside an economic benefits is: searching for safety, individualization of surrounding area, and the humanization of friendly, neighbourly relations. Within the reach of a formally urban structures emerge dwelling-houses of a character close to a rural architecture. This phenomenon is an evident appearance of their inhabitants needs. In this context we ought to oppose the attempt of antagonizm in valuation as to refer to urban and rural structures. The state of space on the vast areas within the administrative urban borders we can define as penetration and mesh of rural and urban structures.lt seems to be necessary to introduce and ratificate in terminology and in planning and architectural practice the definition of the „bordering zone", as adequate to that spatial situation. The quality of that space is essential and it is stated in thesis as order. To be in search of that order, which formal features are in the author's opinion identical for any spatial structure either urban or rural is an actual necessity. In the report author produces the list of such features treating it flexibly as open.

Krzewy ozdobne w Holandii są ważnym elementem krajobrazu, zarówno w miastach, jak i na terenach wiejskich. Architekci krajobrazu holenderskiego zwracają uwagę na walory dekoracyjne krzewów z odpowiednim przeznaczeniem do siedliska. Holendrzy okazują coraz większe zainteresowanie rodzimymi drzewami i krzewami. O tym, czy dana roślina przyjmuje się w określonych warunkach holenderskich, decyduje przede wszystkim naturalny zasięg występowania danego gatunku. Sadzi się krzewy i drzewa tylko w tych regionach, w których warunki oraz stanowisko odpowiadają wymaganiom tych roślin. Dotyczy to przede wszystkim terenów wiejskich i miejskich. Architekci holenderscy dzielą siedliska roślin na: tereny wiejskie: regiony położone poza terenem zabudowanym miast i wsi. Na tych terenach sadzi się w Holandii wszelkiego rodzaju drzewa i krzewy uzupełniające krajobraz, które są odporne na działanie czynników atmosferycznych i dobrze rosną na glebach znajdujących się na danym terenie; peryferie miast: przestrzenne dzielnice mieszkaniowe, strefy przemysłowe i biurowe, duże drogi wylotowe i główne arterie komunikacyjne. Na tych terenach w Holandii sadzi się prawie każdą roślinę, jednakże nie jest to optymalne miejsce dla małych krzewów.

Ornamental shrubs in Holland are an important element of the landscape, both in towns and rural areas. The architects of the Dutch landscape pay attention to the decorative qualities of shrubs depending on the habitat. The Dutch are more and more interested on the native trees and shrubs. Whether so or not a given plant is successful in the definite Dutch conditions depends on, first of all, the natural range of the occurrence of a given species. Only those shrubs and trees are planted in these regions in which the conditions and sites are suitable for them. It concerns, first of all, rural and urban areas. The Dutch architects divide habitats into: rural areas : the regions situated outside the built areas of towns and countries. On these areas, in Holland different kinds of trees and shrubs are planted, complementing the landscape which are resistant to unfavorable atmospheric conditions and thrive on the soils being in a given area- peripheries of towns: spatial residential districts, industrial and office zones, main roads and highways. In those areas in Holland almost every plant is set, but it is not an optimal place for small shrubs.
