W niniejszym artykule przedstawiony został proces wykonywania trójwymiarowego modelu kokili z wykorzystaniem programu ZW3D (2012). Zaprezentowano m.in. definiowanie płaszczyzny podziałowej odlewu w przypadku, gdy nie ma możliwości podziału względem płaszczyzny symetrii, a także procedurę odwzorowywania modelu w formie, jak również inne funkcje przydatne podczas projektowania trójwymiarowych modeli odlewów oraz kokil służące do uwzględnienia naddatku na skurcz oraz określenia masy obiektu.

The process of performing of three-dimensional model using ZW3D (2012) was presented in this article. Presented, among others, setting up a split plane of casting in the case when there is no possibility of division in relation of the symmetry plane, mapping procedure of a model in the form, as well as other features useful by designing three-dimensional models of casting and permanent-moulds, that can be used to take account of overcapacity on the contraction and determining the mass of the object.

The presented work presents the influence of graphite particles on the solidification kinetics of metal suspension based on AlSi10Mg alloy during the die cavity filling. In order to examine this problem, the measurements concerning temperature changes in the selected points of the metal mould have been taken for two materials poured into the die: the pure AlSi10Mg alloy and the alloy reinforced with graphite particles. Thus the solidification and cooling curves of the examined material have been achieved. The recorded temperature changes have served as a basis for preparing graphs representing the velocity of the metal stream and the distance travelled by the front of the stream against the time. The introduction of graphite particles into the matrix alloy has caused the shortening of the distance flown by the material by 50% as compared with the non-reinforced alloy. The recorded temperature changes have allowed also for determining the temperature changes for the front of the metal stream during the die filling. Taking into account these results it has been found that the AlSi10Mg+10%Cgr composite begins its solidification after having covered the distance seven times shorter than the corresponding distance measured for the non-reinforced AlSi10Mg alloy.

The presented work focuses on the influence of the material of the mould on the solidification kinetics of AlSi10Mg alloy during the mould cavity filling. Thus the solidification and cooling curves of the examined material have been achieved. The recorded temperature changes have served as a basis for preparing graphs representing the velocity of the metal stream and the distance travelled by the front of the stream against the time. Casting in the permanent mould has resulted in shortening the flown distance by about 10% as compared with casting in the expendable mould. The recorded data has also allowed for determining the temperature changes at the moving front of the metal stream during the mould filling. The results indicate that the alloy poured into the metal mould begins the solidification process much earlier, after covering only half of the distance travelled by the metal in the expendable mould prior to the solidification beginning.

Chyby odliatkov súvisia s fyzikálno - metalurgickými vlastnost'ami kovov a zlilitin z ktorých sú odliatky vyrobené, s metalurgickými aspektami ich tavenia a ošetrenin, resp. s kvalitou realizácie zlievarenskej technológie. V príspevku sú uvedené niektoré poznatky z analýzy chýb konkrétnych typov odliatkov vyrobených zo zlintin na báze hliníka odlievaním do trvalých foriem.

Defects of castings relate to physical-metallurgical properties of metals and alloys of which castings are made, metallurgical aspects of their melting and treatment, and quality of foundry technology realization, as well. In the contribution some experience from analysis of defects of certain types of castings made from alloys on aluminium basis cast into permanent moulds is given.

Simulation is made for thermal phenomena associated with decreased overheat, solidification and sequent cooling of the hollow cylindrical casting being cast into metal mould by centrifugal casting. Some essential mathematical difficulties caused by existence of moving solidification fronts are overcome in this study with adopting fundamental concept on calorimetric temperature, the concept is known to have been repeatedly validated in both theoretical and experimental way.

Modelowaniu podlegąją procesy z dziedziny fizyki cieplnej, związane z uniknięciem przegrzania, krystalizacją i chłodzeniem pustego odlewu cylindrycznego przy odśrodkowym odlewaniu do kokili masywnej. Znaczne trudności matematyczne, uwarunkowane występowaniem ruchomych frontów krystalizacji, zostały w niniejszej pracy rozwiązane dzięki zastosowaniu fundamentalnej, wielokrotnie sprawdzonej teoretycznie i eksperymentalnie, koncepcji temperatury kalorymetrycznej.
