The power of mixing was studied by a method involving measurements of the pressure difference exerted by the blades on liquid mixed in a mixer with the pendulum agitator. An influence of the distance between the pressure probe and area directly penetrated by a specific agitator on the mixing power was also investigated. The correlation describing an influence of the Reynolds number on the mixing power for agitators with clapping blades of different geometry and design has been obtained.

Otrzymano równanie korelacyjne wpływu liczby Reynold-sa na moc mieszania dla mieszadeł o łopatkach klapiących różnej geometrii i konstrukcji.

The aim of this paper is to present investigations of the transient processes in a time domain for a mixer with pendulum agitator. On the basis of the displacement of color indicator the structure of a mathematical model is proposed and also a comparison is made between experimental and transient processes predicted.
