Rozszerzenie strefy płatnego parkowania wiąże się z koniecznością podejmowania kontrowersyjnych decyzji. Wynika to faktu, iż użytkownicy systemu parkingowego mają często rozbieżne oczekiwania i wymagania (dotyczy to zwłaszcza dwóch grup: mieszkańców danego obszaru i osób tylko tam pracujących). W niniejszym artykule scharakteryzowano strefę płatnego parkowania w Krakowie i przedstawiono krótką analizę jej funkcjonowania. Następnie opisano propozycję rozszerzenia tej strefy o trzy dodatkowe obszary, w których przeprowadzono sondażowe badania ankietowe wśród użytkowników systemu.

The extension of paid packing zones often requires necessity of controversial decisions. This is due to the fact that user; of the parking system have usually divergent expectations and requirements (it refers to two groups: res cents of the area and the commuters). This paper characterizes the paid parking zone in Krakow and presents a brief analysis of its operation. Then, it describes a proposal to extend the zone with three additional areas in which the questionnaire survey among users were conducted. These studies were mainly indicate the willingness of drivers to pay a fee after the exten-sion of the paid parking :one. The results demonstrate the complexity of the problem and give reason 10 believe that a large part of users, especially those whose motivation to come and park is s place of employment will be dissatisfied with the implementation of fees. or a desire to avoid fees will change to a different mode of transport.
