Non-linear effects of operation temperature on a field-coupled current-controlled inductance

In this publication the effect of the operating temperature on the effective inductance of a controllable inductor is analysed. The main difference compared to a coil with a simple single core lies in the current-controlled inductance-value. This is achieved by a second core implemented perpendicular upon the load-toroid affecting the saturation within a limited shared volume. Corresponding to the presented analysis, the dependencies on the core temperatures are investigated by measurements.

Obecnie, dzięki rozwojowi inżynierii półprzewodników szerokopasmowych, obserwuje sie rosnące zainteresowanie elektroniką wysokotemperaturową. Prowadzi to także do rozwoju odpowiednich elementów biernych celem umożliwienia wytwarzania modułów funkcjonalnych. W artykule przedstawiono właściwości komponentów biernych realizowanych w technice grubowarstwowej lub technologii ceramiki niskotemperaturowej współwypalanej (LTCC) uwzględniających wymagania elektroniki wysokotemperaturowej.

At this very moment, thanks to development of wide-band semiconductors' engineering, an inereasing interest in the field of high-temperature electronics is observed. This leads also to the development of proper passives in order to enable fabrication of fully functional modules. This paper presents the properties of passive components made in thick-film or Low-Temperature Cofired Ceramics (LTCC) technologies fulfilling demands of high-temperature electronics.
