The objective of this contribution is the application of a new methodology for assessing connectivity in passenger transport regarding selected tariff points accessibility in the context of developing the selected region. From the passenger´s point of view, it is necessary to specially assess the accessibility of lines within transportation, between the selected destinations using passenger air transport. The length of the travel time, the number of necessary transfers and the number of travel opportunities affects the possibilities of transport between place A and B. The connections and lines are thus influenced by many factors. This is the basic point to consider when designing a set of evaluation criteria for assessing the connectivity and in carrying out a case study for a specific region. In this paper, Václav Havel Airport in Prague (Czech Republic) with selected air transport connections were evaluated according to the proposed methodology.

Niskokosztowe przewozy lotnicze w ostatnich latach stały się najszybciej rozwijającą się gałęzią pasażerskiego transportu lotniczego. W 2017 roku w Azji Południowej i w Azji Południowo-Wschodniej tani przewoźnicy osiągnęli ponad połowę udziału w rynku - w Europie i w Ameryce - jedną trzecią. Sukces modelu biznesowego wykorzystywanego przez sektor LCC na trasach krótkiego i średniego zasięgu jest niepodważalny. W artykule omówiono obecną sytuację i szanse na rozwój tańszych połączeń transkontynentalnych bazując na danych pochodzących z serwisu OAG Schedule Analyser, pozwalającego analizować m.in. zmiany w rozkładach lotów na przestrzeni lat.

Low-cost carriers in recent years has become the fastest growing branch of passenger air transport. In 2017, in South Asia and Southeast Asia, low-cost carriers achieved more than half of the market share - in Europe and America - one third. The success of the business model used by the LCC sector on short- and medium-haul routes is indisputable. Thanks to the introduction of more and more efficient aircraft, there is also a chance to transfer the business model of low-cost carriers to long-haul routes. The article discusses the current situation and opportunities for cheaper transcontinental flights.

The aim of the paper is to present the author’s attempt to adapt the Servqual Method to study the quality attributes of passenger air services. This market is witnessing a growing dynamic of competition intensity and a distinctive trend consisting of focusing on improving the quality of the most important determinants in basic areas of this business. The method of comprehensive evaluation of this process and its consequences on the Polish market has so far not been scientifically researched. The paper attempts to fill this gap. The proposed solution consists in the introduction of a new, previously unused, research method to the system of analysis, assessment and measurement of the air services quality, which constitutes a specific contribution to the science. Innovation of its application consists in a detailed reformatting of the Servqual Method and adaptation of both tested criteria and research areas to the nomenclature, specific requirements and conditions of this service sector. Using this method, it is possible to conduct a comprehensive range of tests taking into account the correctness, effectiveness of measurement, possibility of specifying the conclusions and recommendations as well as modernity of their implementation. The research questionnaire constructed by the author serves this purpose, in which the most important criteria and research areas of the discussed scope of services have been proposed.

Celem pracy jest omówienie współczesnych zagrożeń występujących w obszarach portów lotniczych, z uwzględnieniem działań na pokładach zagrożonych samolotów oraz zaproponowanie autorskich modyfikacji obecnie stosowanych procedur. Zakres pracy obejmuje przykłady zdarzeń reprezentatywnych dla poszczególnych sytuacji kryzysowych. Autorzy szczególną uwagę przykładają do istotnej roli człowieka we wszelkich działaniach dotyczących portów lotniczych i wynikającej stąd konieczności monitorowania jego zachowań, poprzez wprowadzanie nowatorskich rozwiązań technicznych lub organizacyjnych. W referacie przedstawiono trzy propozycje istotnych rozwiązań w tym zakresie.

The aim of this study is to discuss current threats occurring at airports (including actions on boards of threatened aircrafts) as well as to suggest copyright (authorial) modifications in currently applicable procedures. The scope of the paper covers representative examples of events for individual emergencies. The authors pay special attention to the key role of a man in all actions concerning airports. The key role of a man leads to the necessity of monitoring his behavior, through the introduction of innovative technological or organizational solutions. The paper presents three significant proposals solutions in this field.
