W artykule przeprowadzono analizę kolizji statku pasażerskiego „Celestyal Crystal” z chemikaliowcem „STI Pimlico” w Cieśninie Dardanele, 27 czerwca 2015 roku. Dokładny opis poważnego wypadku morskiego w aspekcie prawideł MPZZM oraz analiza manewru ostatniej chwili uwzględniają większość czynników wpływających na bezpieczeństwo żeglugi. W publikacji przedstawiono również szczególne znaczenie systemów rozgraniczenia ruchu (TSS) oraz komunikacji ze służbą kontroli ruchu (VTS) na akwenach uznanych za trudne nawigacyjnie ze względu na ograniczoną szerokość toru wodnego i duże natężenie ruchu statków.

The article presents analysis of the collision between passenger ship „Celestyal Crystal” and chemical tanker „STI Pimlico”in the Çanakkale Strait’s Traffic Separation Scheme on 27 June 2015. The detailed description of accident in the aspect of the COLREG rules and the analysis of the last chance manoeuver shows majority of the factors influencing on the safety in navigation. The role of Traffic Separation Scheme (TSS) and communication with Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) in narrow passages with high traffic density were also presented.

The usage of the Miniature Dwarfs method in the improvement of passenger ship construction

The Miniature Dwarfs method is one of the tools used by the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ) used in the process of modelling and seeking solutions to conflicting situations. This article describes the origin of the Miniature Dwarfs method. The process flow of the usage of the Miniature Dwarfs method was presented both in its original version, suggested by Altshuller, as well as in its recently modified version. The usage of the Miniature Dwarfs method was presented here to minimize the marine hull resistance of a passenger ship in the conflicting situation, where there is a simultaneous necessity to provide both large ship capacity as well as high speed. The issue and the conflicting situation were both presented and modelled. The Operational zone and Operational time were described and modelled with the use of the Miniature Dwarfs method before and during the Conflict, and the desired situation. The search of the potential solutions was carried out with the use of miniature dwarfs; the findings were interpreted with respect to the system under analysis and the stated technical issues. Imagined situations described in individual diagrams are included in the issue under investigation. Selected solutions to the problem were presented. The advantages of the method were indicated and presented as an addition to other methods used in the process of designing new engineering solutions.

The concept of dimensioning escape routs to obtain a predetermined displacement of the numbers of people from their initial position to a destination as fast as possible, will be presented at the paper. In order to present the method it was used the plan of evacuation of an exemplary passenger and car ferry. Based on a simple example, the distribution of escape was analyzed. The calculation method was applied genetic algorithms.

W artykule zaprezentowana zostanie koncepcja doboru wymiarów dróg ewakuacji na statku, tak aby uzyskać przemieszczenie się założonej liczby osób z ich początkowej pozycji do miejsca przeznaczenia tak szybko jak to możliwe. W celu zaprezentowania działania opracowanej metody posłużono się planem ewakuacji przykładowego promu pasażersko-samochodowego. Na podstawie prostego przykładu rozkładu dróg ewakuacji dokonano analizy wpływu zwymiarowania dróg ewakuacyjnych na możliwość uzyskania jak najkrótszego czasu ewakuacji. Do obliczeń zastosowano metodę algorytmów genetycznych.
