The current literature on non-destructive damage evaluation in composites using vibroacoustic techniques is reviewed. A number of techniques for non-destructive characterization of the existence and the location of cracks, delamination, or other type of damages in composite materials and structures are presented and discussed. Particular attention was paid to the increasingly extensive use of advanced methods of vibroacoustic diagnosis, including the methods of time-and-frequency signal representation, analysis of properties of smart materials and method of multi-dimensional spectral analysis.

W pracy zawarto przegląd ostatnich publikacji poświęconych zagadnieniom wykorzystania technik diagnostyki wibroakustycznej w badaniach powstawania i rozwoju uszkodzeń materiałów kompozytowych. Zaprezentowano i przedyskutowano różne możliwości wykorzystania metod nieniszczących w zadaniach identyfikacji, lokalizacji różnych typów uszkodzeń w tym pęknięć i delaminacji. Szczególna uwagę zwrócono na fakt coraz szerszego wykorzystania zaawansowanych metod diagnostyki wibroakustycznej, w tym metody czasowo - częstotliwościowej reprezentacji sygnału, analizy właściwości materiałów inteligentnych, metod wielowymiarowej analizy spektralnej.
