Deformations of a dog heading located in an area of intensive mining operation – case study

The article presents results on the influence range of mining exploitation in a rock mass at the site of dog headings located in an area of intensive mining exploitation. The research is based on geodetic measurements of the subsidence of measurement line points located above the panel of a mined-out longwall. Studies were applied to assess the range of mining influence in a rock mass, which is important for the protection of dog headings against mining damage. If a range of mining influence comprises any protected workings, then the deformations caused by mining operations may result in the loss of their functionality and even in dangerous damage to them. The values of the parameters of the influence theory determined by geodetic measurements of subsidence can be used to determine the permissible length of longwall panels, ensuring the maintenance of the functionality of the protected dog headings and to optimize stress concentration zones in terms of the risk of rock mass tremors.

W artykule przedstawiono sposób przeprowadzenia oceny projektu eksploatacji KWK „Rydułtowy-Anna” w filarze szybów głównych pod kątem ochrony obiektów położonych w granicach terenu chronionego tym filarem. Zgodnie z tym projektem kopalnia zamierza wybrać w granicach filara szybów głównych ściany I, III i IV w pokładzie 713. Eksploatacja ta będzie oddziaływać na szyby 2 i 4, obiekty przyszybowe, a także na obiekty zakładu przeróbczego. Analiza wielkości wyznaczonych deformacji w powiązaniu ze stanem technicznym tych obiektów pozwoliła na ocenę możliwości realizacji eksploatacji przedmiotowych ścian z uwagi na ochronę szybów i obiektów zakładu przeróbczego.

This article shows the evaluation method of projected exploitation in the main shafts pillar for the protection of objects located within the safety area of the pillar. According to this plan the Mine intends to exploitate within the main shafts pillar the longwall I, III and IV in the coal seam 713. Exploitation will affect the shafts 2 and 4, the objects near them, as well as the buildings of processing plant. Analysis of size of the designated deformation in relation with the technical condition of objects, made possible to assess the realization of exploitation of these longwalls for the protection of shafts and processing plant buildings.
