The aim of this review-paper is to overview high pressure techniques used in the magnetic resonances in laboratories. In this review, we would like to show the techniques that lead yielding high pressure applicable in the paramagnetic resonances. We would like to draw your attention to the separation of the effects resulting from the pressure and effects from the temperature, thereby separate the volume phonon contribution. Our main intention is to show the impact of high pressure on the structure of matter, in particular on its fundamental level.

The crossover phenomenon in Na[Fe(Th-Sa)2], a representative of a large class of the Fe(III) thiosemi-carbazonates, was examined by X-band EPR in temperatures 80 - 300°K and magnetisation of a polycrystalline sample was collected in the temperature range 1.8 - 300 K. The main results are as follows:- The appearance of LS complexes is requires thermal population of the 2A term but the transition process is ruled by other factors.- The LS complexes formed are not statistically distributed among the HS ones but tend to assemble in restricted spaces of the crystal lattice (domains) in which both short-range and long-range interactions of the complexes occur. - The increase in the cooperative interactions between the LS complexes and the enlargement of domains occur gradually with two jump changes. Each of the jumps has different character; the first is related to a redistribution of the complexes in domains and the other to a rapid increase in the LS phase volume.
