One of the most frequently used methods of adjusting the room acoustics of concert halls is the temporary introduction of additional acoustic absorption in the form of acoustic banners. Banners are implemented in the form of fabric surfaces placed vertically or horizontally along the walls of concert halls. In practice, one or two layers of heavyweight fabrics are used, characterized by a high value of the sound absorption coefficient. Simplified methods of designing acoustic banners assume estimating the effectiveness of adjusting the reverberation time on the basis of the static theory. The paper presents the results of measuring the effectiveness of acoustic banners carried out in the concert hall. The possibility of tuning the interior acoustics was verified depending on the position of the banner in the room as well as the degree of its opening.

W pracy przeanalizowano problemy związane z jakością akustyczną biur typu "open space” w obiektach użyteczności publicznej. Przedstawiono wartości głównego parametru związanego z jakością akustyczną, jakim jest czas pogłosu. Następnie oceniono komfort w analizowanym biurze na podstawie takich wskaźników, jak: zanik przestrzenny dźwięku wraz z podwojeniem odległości D2,S (Spatial Decay Rate of Speech), poziom dźwięku mowy w odległości 4 m od źródła LP,A,S,4m (A-weighted Sound Pressure Level of Speech at a distance of 4 m), Distraction Distance rD, Distance of Comfort rC oraz Privacy Distance rP.

This paper analyzes the problems of acoustics in open plan offices. Values of reverberation time are presented as the primary room acoustics parameter. Then, the level of comfort at the office under review was rated based on such indicators as: Speech Transmission Index STI, A-weighted Sound Pressure Level SPL(A), Spatial Decay Rate of Speech D2,S, A-weighted Sound Pressure Level of Speech at a distance of 4m Lp,A,S,4m, Distraction Distance rD, Distance of Comfort rC and Privacy Distance rp.

W artykule przedstawiono opis badań w tunelu aerodynamicznym rzeczywistych paneli akustycznych montowanych na dachach budynków blokowych w pobliżu krawędzi dachu i ścian budynków. Przeprowadzone badania miały dwa główne cele: 1. Sprawdzenie wytrzymałości paneli i ich łączników przy dużych prędkościach przepływu powietrza; 2. Określenie rozkładów ciśnienia wiatru na powierzchniach zewnętrznych paneli elewacyjnych przy dwóch przeciwnych kierunkach wiatru oraz wyznaczenie współczynników sił aerodynamicznych.

The paper summarizes the wind tunnel tests of original acoustic panels located on the block buildings roofs near edge of building roof and walls. Performed investigations had two main goals: 1. Verification of resistance of the panels at their connecting members at high air flow velocities; 2. Determination the set of aerodynamic force coefficients, obtained from measured wind pressure distribution on the façade panel surfaces in two opposite wind directions, was the main aim of the work.
