Buckling of rectangular plates with different central holes

The behavior of thin rectangular perforated plates under the action of uniform compressive deformation is studied using finite element analysis. The central holes are either circular holes or square holes. The effects of plate-support conditions, plate aspect ratio, hole geometry, and hole size on the buckling strengths of the perforated plates was studied. The results show that for the same plate weight density, the buckling strengths of the plates with square holes generally surpass those of the plates with circular holes over the range of hole sizes.

Rozpoznanie budowy i stanu podtorza, szczególnie jego górnej strefy pod nawierzchnią, odbywa się na podstawie wyników badań geotechnicznych wykonywanych dla projektu, podczas jego realizacji i dla odbioru zakończonych robót podtorzowych. Elementem tych badań są próbne obciążenia podtorza płytą, w celu wyznaczenia wartości modułów odkształcenia podtorza pod torowiskiem - wyniki badań porównywane są z wartościami modułów zawartych w przepisach i instrukcjach.

The paper presents an analysis of co-operation with substructure plates to determine the deformation of the test module loads. The authors make the analysis of the state of stress in slabs aggravating substructure and provide conclusions regarding the depth of the impact zone on the track bed boards.

Opracowano metodę pozwalającą uwzględnić wpływ odkształceń postaciowych na stan naprężeń, przemieszczeń i odkształceń w płytach prostokątnych wolnopodpartych i utwierdzonych. Punktem wyjścia w opracowaniu nowej metody była znana w teorii sprężystości metoda przemieszczeń. Zgodnie z tym, korzystając z ulepszonej teorii płyt Prusova, wszystkie przemieszczenia zostały podane w postaci sumy iloczynów nieznanych funkcji kształtu i funkcji zależnych od poprzecznej współrzędnej. Funkcję kształtu mm określono ze spełnienia przemieszczeni owych równań równowagi.

While researching induction motor the electromagnetic torque should betaken into consideration as composition of asynchronous and pulsating torques. The torque, which has been transmitted by whole drive system, is either increased or decreased on its elements such as gearbox.In the article the method of determination the stresses in base teeth based on finite elements methods involved to determination the stresses is presented. Based on determined stresses the mathematical model of gearbox in Matlab/Simulink is formulated. The simulation results are presented.
