The main purpose of this paper is to study structure theorems of Banach *-algebras generated by semicircular elements. In particular, we are interested in the cases where given semicircular elements are induced by orthogonal projections in a C*-probability space.

W artykule przedstawiono ideę identyfikacji wzorców statystycznych odpowiadających stanowi zdatności maszyny lub urządzenia oraz tworzeniu residuów informujących o powstawaniu różnic w stanie monitorowanego obiektu. Omówiona w artykule nieinwazyjna metodyka diagnozowania na podstawie danych doświadczalnych, uzyskanych z obserwacji sygnału drgań, wykorzystuje niezawodne algorytmy numeryczne rzutów ortogonalnych przestrzeni macierzy obserwacji, realizowanych za pomocą dekompozycji LQ oraz rozkładów macierzy według wartości szczególnych SVD. Algorytm zweryfikowano w trakcie tworzenia residuów dla układu zaworowego silnika o zapłonie iskrowym w różnych stanach eksploatacyjnych.

In the paper the idea of identifying statistical patterns matching to the machine or devices in good technical condition and generation of residuals informing about the monitored object s state changes is presented. Noninvasive methodology based on experimental data obtained from the observation of the vibration signal is discussed. The indicated method uses robust numerical algorithms of orthogonal projections realized through LQ factorization and singular value decomposition SVD. Method was verified during the generation of residuals for the IC engine valve system in the various maintenance states.
