What factors influence the shaping of urban public spaces for sports cities? A systematic review

In recent years, the concept of developing sports cities has gained popularity and become a notable trend. Urban public spaces have played an important role as suitable venues for informal sporting activities in cities. Policymakers and scholars have come to realize that an aesthetically pleasing and well-designed public space can encourage and increase participation in sports. This systematic review aims to identify the factors that influence the shaping of public spaces for sports cities accessible to all. Ten electronic databases were searched to identify relevant studies published between 2010 and 2022. The data were independently assessed and extracted by two reviewers. Full-text copies of 68 articles were read, and 24 articles meeting the inclusion criteria were included in this review. A synthesized descriptive analysis of the data was then performed. The results of this review identified factors that influence the shaping of urban public spaces for sports cities, including spatial sports facilities, organizational and programmatic factors, and environmental factors. Some factors can facilitate sports and physical activity, while others may act as barriers and have a negative impact on participants. This study recommends summarizing the policy and practice implications of these results for promoting sports cities to address these barriers and make sporting activities more accessible to all.

Zarzadzanie logistyką w wojsku jest rozumiane jako proces, ciąg posobie następującychzdarzeń. Rozpoczyna się planowaniem i poprzez organizowanie i motywowanie dochodzi do etapu kontroli. Działania te mogą być realizowane poprzez wyalienowane piony funkcjonalne takie jak np. pion materiałowy. Powoduje to jednak pewne ograniczenia i stąd też w praktyce często stosuje się podejście procesowe. Jednak i ono nie jest pozbawione wad, co skutkuje stosowaniem w realnych warunkach połączenia tych dwóch sposobów podejścia. Zwykle przynosi to pozytywne wyniki. W procesie zarządzania logistyką wojskową należy przestrzegać określonych zasad, ich stosowanie w praktyce stanowi przesłankę uzyskania pozytywnych wyników co przekłada się na skuteczną realizację zadań związanych z zaspokojeniem potrzeb logistycznych jednostek i instytucji wojskowych.

Logistics management in the military is understood as a process, a sequence of following events. It starts with planning and through organizing and motivating it comes to the control stage. These activities can be implemented through alienated functional divisions, such as the material division. However, this causes some limitations and hence the process approach is often used in practice. However, it isnot without flaws, which results in the use of the two approaches in real conditions. Usually it brings positive results. In the process of management of military logistics, certain rules must be followed, their application in practice is the premise for obtaining positive results, which translates into effective implementation of tasks related to meeting the logistic needs of military units and institutions.

Jednostki i instytucje wojskowe zobowiązane są do spełniania ważnej funkcji w zapewnieniu bezpieczeństwa Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej. Wynika to z dokumentów normatywnych określających przeznaczenie i zadania w ramach zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa powinien wykonać. Aby to było możliwe do realizacji koniecznością jest zapewnienie wojskom bezpieczeństwa logistycznego rozumianego jako brak zagrożeń w poszczególnych podsystemach logistycznych. Zatem zabezpieczenia materiałowe, techniczne, transportowe i w obszarze infrastruktury stanowią jedna z podwalin zapewnienia warunków utrzymania zdolności bojowej wojsk na oczekiwanym poziomie.

Military institutions and Units are obliged to fulfil an important function in ensuring the safety of the Republic of Poland. This is due to the normative documents defining the purpose and tasks within the safety should perform. It was possible to realize the need is to ensure logistics security troops understood as the absence of risks in the individual subsystems. Therefore, material security, technical, transport and infrastructure constitute one of the cornerstones of the conditions maintain the ability of combat troops on the level of interest.

With regard to the content of the article are connected with IP management process components highlighted two essential aspects. The first is the theory relating to the management, and the second takes into account the specific nature of the activity units and military institutions and, in particular, the potential of the logistics. Organizując Polski Kontyngent Wojskowy przeznaczony do realizacji zadań poza granicami kraju nie należy rozpatrywać wyłącznie kwestii operacyjnych, treści zadań mandatowych czy też składu bojowego kontyngentu. Czynnikiem nie mniej ważnym jest bezpieczeństwo logistyczne, które może zapewnić właściwie funkcjonujący system logistyczny. Mając to na względzie niezbędna jest wszechstronna analiza wszystkich determinantów wywierających wpływ na wielkość potrzeb logistycznych i warunki w jakich te potrzeby będą zaspokojone. Tylko taki pierwszy krok pozwoli właściwie zorganizować zabezpieczenie logistyczne. Zatem należy nie tylko znać ale potrafić zinterpretować czynniki warunkujące funkcjonowanie Polskiego Kontyngentu Wojskowego, a w tym wielkość i asortyment potrzeb logistycznych. Bazując na informacjach wynikających z uwarunkowań, koniecznością jest zastosowanie w praktyce zasad dotyczących sposobu realizacji zadań logistycznych. Zasady te powinny być znane i stosowane zarówno przez potencjał logistyczny jak i przez dowódców, którzy z działalności tej logistyki korzystają. Realizacja zadań zabezpieczenia logistycznego musi się mieścić w granicach obowiązującego prawa. Stad tez niezbędna jest znajomość określonych ustaleń jak również ich stosowanie w praktyce. Tak skomponowane składowe dotyczące organizacji zabezpieczenia logistycznego Polskiego Kontyngentu Wojskowego stanowią pozytywną bazę do praktycznego zaspakajania jego potrzeb logistycznych.

Organizing the Polish Military Contingent intended for tasks outside of the country should not be considered solely the operating issues, content tasks mandated or composition of the militancy of the quota. Factor not less important is the safety of the logistics, which can provide a properly functioning logistics system. With this in mind, it is necessary to comprehensive analysis of all determinants influencing the size of the logistical requirements and the conditions under which these needs are met. Only that first step will properly arrange security logistics. Therefore, you must not only know but be able to interpret the factors determining the functioning of the Polish Military Contingent, and in the volume and range of logistics needs. Based on the information under the circumstances, it is necessary to apply in practice the rules about the manner of the performance of the tasks of the logistics. These rules should be known and applied by both the potential logistical and military commanders, who with the activities of the logistics. Tasks of the logistics security must be within the limits of applicable law. Hence it is necessary to know the specific findings as well as their application in practice. Offers concerning the organisation of logistics security components of the Polish Military Contingent are positive for practical to satisfy its logistical requirements.

One of the roles performed by executives and supervisory personnel in their work at various levels of management is the information role. It involves, inter alia, the collection and dissemination of information, which is one of the sources of authority and an essential element of planning, organizing, motivating and controlling. In this paper the authors presented - through the analysis of literature and their own research - the place and importance of supervisory staff and managers in the system of information flow in management.

This article is based on materials used during the NATO/PdP staff officers course which was held under the SHAPE auspices at the Netherlands Defence College in Holland in October 1997. The author has discussed political and military aspects of peace operations planning and organising peace operations taking into account the potentials and ways to use different military services and branches. There has been also considered a specific character of international forces actions including actions of NATO forces and also forces not belonging to the Alliance. The realisation of peace operations while redeployment, task conducting, personnel rotation and ending the mission have been discussed.

The article presents an outline of doctrine and general procedures applied while planning, organising and conducting air manoeuvres in the North Atlantic Alliance armed forces. There have been discussed the aims and tasks of aeromobile forces, the ways of organising them, and also planning the successive phases of these forces actions. There has been analysed the use of other forces branches while conducting air manoeuvres: artillery, land forces air force, air defence, radio-electronic warfare. The principles of command and cooperation have been defined. The characteristics of aeromobile logistic units (subunits) have been presented.
