Artykuł przedstawia zarys przemian w dziedzinie logistyki, jakie dokonały się na przestrzeni dwudziestu lat istnienia Państwowej Straży Pożarnej. PSP realizuje zadania w ramach krajowego sytemu ratowniczo – gaśniczego używając ponad 5500 różnego rodzaju pojazdów gaśniczych i ratowniczych. Prowadzi ratownictwo techniczne, chemiczne, wodne, wysokościowe i medyczne. W okresie istnienia PSP ewolucję przeszło właściwie wszystko: prawodawstwo, wyszkolenie, wyposażenie osobiste i techniczne, logistyka, umundurowanie, wyżywienie, łączność, system powiadamiania, zabezpieczenie epidemiologiczne i weterynaryjne, sposób uruchamiania środków finansowych.

The article refers to the transformation of logistics issues within the State Fire Service over last 20 y. The State Fire Service performs the tasks set for the national firefighting and rescue system using above 5500 firefighting and rescue engines as well as rescue, special and support engines equipped with high-quality special devices designed to fight dangers to human life and health, property and the natural environment. In the framework of the national firefighting and rescue system, which is an integral part of the internal safety structure of the state, the State Fire Service conducts firefighting and rescue operations in the scope of technical, chemical, environmental, medical, high and water rescue as well as search operations. In such a years almost everything has changed - legislation, training, individual and technical equipment, uniforms, communication and alarm system, food, epidemiological and veterinary support, financial system.
