Współczesny świat charakteryzuje się olbrzymią liczbą różnorodnych organizacji tworzonych przez ludzi w celu zaspokojenia ich zbiorowych i indywidualnych potrzeb. W obecnych uwarunkowaniach coraz częściej preferowany jest sieciowy model zaspokajania potrzeb publicznych, w którym istotną rolę odgrywają zarówno organizacje publiczne, jak i biznesowe. Takie rozwiązanie posiada zwykle zalety i wady. Powinno być poprzedzone szczegółowymi analizami i musi uwzględniać uwarunkowania ekonomiczne i społeczne w kraju. W praktyce należy bowiem wyraźnie określić, do jakiego systemu zaspokojenia potrzeb społecznych zmierzamy i co w naszych uwarunkowaniach przemawia za takim systemem. Ponadto trzeba sprecyzować sposób zarządzania tym procesem.

The modern world is characterized by an enormous number of diverse organizations created by people to satisfy their collective and individual needs. Under present conditions, the network model of satisfying public needs is increasingly preferred, in which both public and business organizations play an important role. This solution usually has advantages and disadvantages. It should be preceded by detailed analyzes and must take into account economic and social conditions in the country. In practice, it should be clearly defined to which system we meet the social needs and what in our conditions speaks for such a system. In addition, the management of this process should be clearly defined.

The article presents the results of research conducted on informants engaged in two organisations, namely in a youth organisation of the largest opposition party and in a youth organisation of the largest governing party. The presented analysis aims at examining the relationship between a sense of sociopolitical control and the social involvement of individuals and at verifying the correlation between a sense of sociopolitical control and selected items of predisposition conditioning - self-esteem and pragmatism. The results indicate the existence of a positive correlation of sociopolitical control with involvement, self-esteem and pragmatism. Moreover, one of the dimensions of sociopolitical control, namely the sub-scale of policy control, diversifies the members of the youth organisation of the governing party and the people who belong to the youth organisation of the opposition party. This allows us to draw a conclusion that the variable of sociopolitical control is significant from the point of view of the subjectively perceived possibilities of sociopolitical participation.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badania osób zaangażowanych w dwóch organizacjach, w młodzieżówce największej partii opozycyjnej i w młodzieżówce największej partii rządzącej. Przedstawiona analiza służy zbadaniu relacji pomiędzy poczuciem kontroli socjopolitycznej a zaangażowaniem społecznym jednostek oraz sprawdzeniu zależności pomiędzy poczuciem kontroli socjopolitycznej a wybranymi uwarunkowaniami dyspozycyjnymi - samooceną i pragmatyzmem. Wyniki wskazują na istnienie dodatniej korelacji poczucia kontroli socjopolitycznej z zaangażowaniem, samooceną i pragmatyzmem. Ponadto, jeden z wymiarów poczucia kontroli socjopolitycznej, mianowicie podskala kontroli treści decyzji politycznych, różnicuje członków młodzieżówki partii rządzącej od osób należących do młodzieżowej organizacji partii opozycyjnej. Pozwala to wysnuć wniosek, że zmienna poczucia kontroli socjopolitycznej jest istotna z punktu widzenia subiektywnie odbieranych możliwości partycypacji społeczno-politycznej.

Kapitał intelektualny jest modelowany i operacjonalizowany przez wielu autorów. W artykule dokonano przeglądu najważniejszych podejść do jego rozumienia oraz pomiaru. Przedstawiono również wyniki badań kapitału intelektualnego w organizacjach społecznych w województwie lubelskim.

Intellectual Capital (IC) is subject of many academic approaches and models oriented on measuring intangible assets of the enterprises and non-profit organization. In the paper the review of most important approaches to IC has been presented. The article also contains the results of researches regarding intellectual capital in social organization of lubelskie Voivodeship.

A broad social base is an essential condition to create an effective state defence system, apart from scientific-technical and economic potential, effective government and local government structures of the state and modem army. It is in agreement with assumptions of war doctrine of defence character. Currently, after numerous re-organisations of different state structures, re-organisation of Civil Defence including, only social associations and schools remained out of non military elements of the state defence system. Although schools take into consideration in their syllabuses apart from educational tasks (state favouring and defence favouring) many elements of preparation to the military service, but they equip the youth in appropriate defence knowledge only in a limited scope. Social associations, which in their activities programmes and statutes consider the problems of citizen and patriotic education, and military training understood in a broad sense, constitute an important element of the defence preparation of the society. All social organisations which deal with defence education of the society have been presented in the article. Also the research results showing how these activities are evaluated by various social environments have been mentioned.
