Przedstawiono koncepcję integracji zarządzania wartością oraz optymalizacji ekonomicznej harmonogramu budowy. Podejście umożliwia maksymalizację wartości użytkowej przedmiotu przedsięwzięcia budowlanego z uwzględnieniem parametrów ekonomicznych przedsięwzięcia. Koncepcja może być wykorzystana w takich przedsięwzięciach jak „zaprojektuj i wybuduj”.

The article presents the concept of integrating value management and economic optimization of the construction schedule. The approach allows to maximize the value of a construction project, taking into account the economic parameters of the project (e.g. NPV). The concept can be used in "design and build" projects.

W artykule dokonano analizy wymiany w skraplaczu wkładu rurowego z rur mosiężnych na wkład rurowy o rurach gładkich wykonanych z rur mosiężnych lub tytanowych ze zamianą układu przepływowego z dwubiegowego na jednobiegowy. Ze względu na różny materiał rurek i kształt ich powierzchni analiza została przeprowadzona dla różnych wartości oporu osadu i różnej średnicy rurek. Do oceny różnych wariantów wkładu rurowego zastosowano funkcję uwzględniającą zmianę mocy i generowanej w ciągu roku energii elektrycznej netto oraz zysku w okresie N lat z uwzględnieniem zmiany nakładów inwestycyjnych jakie należy ponieść na modernizację skraplacza.

The article analyzes the replacement of brass tubes into smooth tubes made of brass or titanium with the change of the flow system from two-passes to single-pass. Due to the different material of pipes and the shape of their surface, the analysis was carried out for different values of fouling resistance and different diameter of tubes. To evaluate the various variants of the tube diameters, a function was used that takes into account the change in net electricity generated, as well as the profit over the period of N years, taking into account the change in investment expenditure to be incurred for the modernization of the condenser.

This paper proposes two different health-aware economic predictive control strategies that aim at minimizing the damage of components in a pasteurization plant. The damage is assessed with a rainflow-counting algorithm that allows estimating the components' fatigue. By using the results obtained from this algorithm, a simplified model that characterizes the health of the system is developed and integrated into the predictive controller. The overall control objective is modified by adding an extra criterion that takes into account the accumulated damage. The first strategy is a single-layer predictive controller with an integral action to eliminate the steady-state error that appears when adding the extra criterion. In order to achieve the best minimal accumulated damage and operational costs, the single-layer approach is improved with a multi-layer control scheme, where the solution of the dynamic optimization problem is obtained from the model in two different time scales. Finally, to achieve the advisable trade-off between minimal accumulated damage and operational costs, both control strategies are compared in simulation over a utility-scale pasteurization plant.

This paper proposes a reliability-based economic model predictive control (MPC) strategy for the management of generalized flow-based networks, integrating some ideas on network service reliability, dynamic safety stock planning, and degradation of equipment health. The proposed strategy is based on a single-layer economic optimisation problem with dynamic constraints, which includes two enhancements with respect to existing approaches. The first enhancement considers chance-constraint programming to compute an optimal inventory replenishment policy based on a desired risk acceptability level, leading to dynamical allocation of safety stocks in flow-based networks to satisfy non-stationary flow demands. The second enhancement computes a smart distribution of the control effort and maximises actuators’ availability by estimating their degradation and reliability. The proposed approach is illustrated with an application of water transport networks using the Barcelona network as the case study considered.

This paper presents the results of an economic analysis of a triple-pressure combined cycle power plant with the steam reheater (3PR). The economic analysis was performed for two variants of the block - with and without the integration of the system with the installation of CO2 capture and compression. The structures of the triple-pressure combined cycle power plant with the steam reheater and CO2 capture and compression installation (CCS) was presented. The characteristic values of systems and the economic assumptions were summarized. An analysis of a break-even point (BEP), which was the minimum selling price for electricity, was performed. A sensitivity analysis of individual components to a break-even price of electricity and the impact of degradation of the efficiency and the power characteristics of the combined cycle power plant was conducted.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki optymalizacji różnych struktur elektrowni gazowo-parowych. Procesowi optymalizacji poddano części parowe układów ze szczególnym naciskiem na optymalizację podstawowych parametrów projektowych kotłów odzyskowych: minimalne przewężenia temperaturowe wymienników oraz ciśnienia robocze. Badano strukturę jednociśnieniową, dwuciśnieniową, dwuciśnieniową z przegrzewem oraz trójciśnieniową z przegrzewem. Dzięki stworzonemu algorytmowi optymalizacyjnemu przeprowadzono przeszukiwanie przestrzeni możliwych rozwiązań w celu znalezienia maksimum sprawności energetycznej całego układu. Dla porównania przeprowadzono również optymalizację ekonomiczną, gdzie funkcją celu była minimalizacja granicznej ceny sprzedaży energii rcznej. W przygotowanym narzędziu optymalizacyjnym wykorzystano teorię algorytmów genetycznych.

In the article has been presented opimalization results of different configuration of gas-steam power plants. To the process of the optimalization have been surrendered steam parts of units with the special pressure on the optimalization of particularly design parameters of heat recovery steam generators: minimum temperature differences in heat exchangers and service pressures. Investigations have been carried out for the following configurations with: single pressre, dual pressur with reheating. Thanks to the created optimization algorithm has been effected the search of the space of possibly solutions for the purpose of findings the maximum of the energy efficiency of the all system. For comparing has been effected also the economic optimization , where a function of the aim was the minimization of the boundary sale price of the electrical energy. In the prepared optimization tool has been used the genetic algorithms theory.

Procedury symulacyjne są pomocne przy analizie pracy zakładu przeróbczego będącej wstępem do optymalizacji pracy układu wzbogacania. Symulację można przeprowadzić w oparciu o kryteria technologiczne lub ekonomiczne, w zależności od potrzeby. Taka procedura uzupełniona dodatkowo o analizę zmienności jakości rudy (zawartości miedzi alfa będzie dokładna i oparta na realiach prowadzonego procesu wzbogacania. W artykule przedstawiono procedurę symulacyjną przeprowadzoną dla trzech zakładów wzbogacania rud w KGHM w oparciu o realne charakterystyki wzbogacanych rud.

Procedures of simulation are helpful in the analysis of processing plants work, which is the entire step for optimization of enrichment system work. The simulation can be carry out on the basis of either technological or economic criteria in dependence on need. Such procedure, additionally completed by the quality changeability analysis of ore (content of copper alpha) will be both more precise and based on realities of conducted enrichment process. In the article the simulating procedure conducted for three ore processing plants in KGHM based on real characteristics of enriched ores were presented.

The paper deals with the methodology of the calculation of investment appraisal in power systems of electricity distribution firms. The methodology, criteria selection and software support are presented. The important part of the paper is methodology for investment decision making of electric network development. The problems of replacement and end of lifetime were solved by assuptions with no needs to additional input data. The set of realised investment projects is constrained by limited capital sources, the developed software allows automatic project selection and prepares investment and operational plans of expenditures. This theme is important not only for investor but the investment choice impacts other subjects in power sector as well. Described methodology is suitable in transit and distribution.
