Artykuł prezentuje zasadnicze problemy w definiowaniu pojęcia logistyka oraz ewolucję jego zakresu znaczeniowego. Wskazano na zasadniczy cel wyodrębnienia logistyki z rzeczywistości gospodarczej – optymalizację procesów przepływu dóbr. Zwrócono uwagę, iż głównym czynnikiem determinującym wysokość kosztów jest utrzymanie personelu. Ilość zatrudnionych osób podlega tendencjom wzrostowym zgodnie z Prawem Parkinsona. Podejmując zatem problem optymalizacji procesów logistycznych należy zwrócić szczególną uwagę na przeciwdziałanie tym tendencjom. Wskazówek dostarcza Total Quality Management oraz Toyota Production System. Czerpiąc z doświadczeń w stosowaniu tych systemów zarządzania i doskonalenia funkcjonowania przedsiębiorstwa można skutecznie optymalizować procesy logistyczne. Bardzo dobrym okresem obserwacji wprowadzanych zmian jest okres bardzo krótki funkcjonowania przedsiębiorstwa, który zdefiniowano w niniejszym artykule.

The article presents the fundamental problems in defining the concept of logistics, and his semantic evolution. It was pointed on the basic goal isolating of the logistics from economic reality - optimization of the flow of goods. It was pointed out that the main factor determining the amount of the costs to maintain its staff. Number of employees growing in accordance with Parkinson's law . By considering the optimization problem of processes logistics, particular attention should be paid to counteract these tendencies. Provides clues Total Quality Management and the Toyota Production System. Drawing on the experience application of these systems of management and improvement functioning of the enterprise one can efficiently optimize logistics processes. Monitoring of changes should be carried out in very short period of operation of the company, which was defined in this article.

Metso, dbając o stały rozwój produktów prowadzi, oprócz prac związanych z unowocześnieniem konstrukcji maszyn, szereg analiz w zakresie optymalizowania procesu kruszenia. Wprowadzając na rynek kolejną kruszarkę typu HP3 przeprowadzono badania pokazujące wpływ wysokości słupa materiału nad głowicą kruszarki stożkowej na proces kruszenia z wykorzystaniem cech kruszarek "nowej generacji". Referat ma na celu zaprezentowanie wyników przeprowadzanych doświadczeń, jak również przypomnienie opracowanej wcześniej grupy zasad optymalnej pracy kruszarek stożkowych.

Metso has been continuously putting effort to development and optimisation of cone crushers performance. One of the steps in this development was launching a "new generation" HP3 cone crusher (fixed eccentric, no top bearing support design) focusing on better crushing performance and better product quality. Taking into consideration the main rules of cone crushers operation called "golden rules" in traditional approach to cone crusher operations the main adjustment tools are closed setting and stroke. Metso has recently performed numerous tests evaluating feed level influence on crushing performance. The results show, that maintaining of certain feed level bed can improve reduction ratio as well as the product quality. This paper describes results of feed level influence test in relation to feature of new generation cone crushers.
