In the paper the comparison of two methods for calculation optimal gains is considered. One method using a Kalman procedure and one using a Riccati equation are compared. It is proved that a Kalman procedure is much better.

The problem of decoupling a linear system by dynamic compensation into multi-input multi-output subsystems is studied by applying proper and stable fractional representations of transfer matrices. A necessary and sufficient condition is given for a decoupling and a stabilizing controller to exist. The set of all controllers that decouple and simultaneously stabilize the system is determined in parametric form. Optimal decoupling controllers are then obtained by an appropriate selection of the parameter.

W pracy przedstawiono przegląd dostępnych obecnie procesorów sygnałowych i mikrokontrolerów oraz porównano ich moc obliczeniową. Zaprezentowano problem optymalnego sterowania, który autorzy planują zrealizować w wybranym procesorze. Przedstawiono także wyniki testów szybkości wykonywania algorytmów dla wybranych procesorów.

The paper contains an overview of the available DSP processors and microcontrollers. A comparison of their computation power is given. An optimal control problem, the authors are planning to realize in a chosen processor, is presented . The paper also presents results of the speed tests of algorithms executed in the chosen processors.

In the paper optimal control of an R, L, C, G electric network chain is considered. For the unloaded RC-chain the gains of the proportional optimal controllers are calculated. The optimal value of the functional is given. The proposed method is alternative to the method of solving Riccati equations for the calculation of the optimal gains.
