W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki wstępnych badań eksploatacyjnych zmodyfikowanego niskotemperaturowego kotła wodnego opalanego biomasą stałą w postaci zrębków drewna. Testowany kocioł jest wyposażony w palnik umożliwiający dwuetapowe spalanie biomasy drewnianej. Paliwo w postaci rozdrobnionych fragmentów drewna jest dozowane z zasobnika do komory paleniskowej w sposób automatyczny. Przeprowadzone badania eksploatacyjne dotyczyły analizy składu powstałych gazowych produktów spalania oraz określenia podstawowych wskaźników pracy kotła, takich jak: straty ciepła kotła, współczynnik nadmiaru powietrza, zużycie paliwa, chwilowa moc kotła oraz sprawność kotła. Na podstawie otrzymanych wyników badań eksperymentalnych stwierdzono, że proponowana modyfikacja konstrukcji podajnika paliwa wymaga dalszego udoskonalenia. W celu poprawy wskaźników pracy kotła muszą zostać wprowadzone kolejne modyfikacje konstrukcyjne.

The article presents the results of the preliminary exploitation investigations of the modified low-temperature water boiler powered by solid biomass in the form of wood chips. The tested boiler is equipped with the burner, which enables two-step burning of the wood biomass. The solid fuel in the form of shredded wood fragments are dispensed from the hopper to the combustion chamber in an automatic manner. The performed exploitation investigations concerned the analysis of the composition of the resulting gaseous products of combustion and, to determine the basic indicators of the combustion system, such as: the boiler heat losses, the excess air ratio, the fuel mass flow rate, the instantaneous heat power of the boiler and the boiler efficiency. On the basis of the experimental results it concluded that the proposed modification of the fuel feeder structure requires further improvement. In order to improve boiler operating indicators need to be made more structural modifications.
