Artykuł skupia się na prezentacji oprogramowania do diagnostyki wybranych parametrów pojazdu. Autor zaproponował koncepcję oraz wykonał program do diagnostyki parametrów pojazdu, który wykorzystuje interfejs CAN (Controller Area Network) i bazuje na języku powłoki bash. W artykule przedstawiono krótką charakterystykę magistrali CAN. Następnie przedstawiono autorskie oprogramowanie do diagnostyki wybranych parametrów pojazdu z wykorzystaniem interfejsu wirtualnej magistrali CAN, w tym pomiarów: prędkości obrotowej silnika, prędkości pojazdu, poziomu paliwa, temperatury cieczy, czy elementów pojazdu. W części końcowej przedstawiono przykładowe testy opracowanej aplikacji.

The paper focuses on the presentation of the authorial software for diagnostics of selected vehicle parameters. The author proposed a concept and implementation of the diagnostics program, which uses the CAN interface and the bash shell language. The paper presents a short description of the CAN bus. Then, the authorial software for the diagnostics of the selected vehicle parameters using the CAN interface was shown, including measurements of engine speed, vehicle speed, fuel level, and temperature of liquid or vehicle components. The final part describes the exemplary tests of the developed application.

This paper explores the applicability of on-board diagnostics data for minimizing inertial navigation errors in vehicles. The results of driving tests were presented and discussed. Knowledge of a vehicle’s exact initial position and orientation was crucial in the navigation process. Orientation errors at the beginning of navigation contributed to positioning errors. GPS data were not processed by the algorithm during navigation.
