W referacie przedstawiono zagadnienia prawne oraz konstrukcyjne dotyczące problematyki konstrukcji okrętów wojennych w zakresie obciążeń cieplnych oraz technicznego zabezpieczenia przeciwpożarowego. W treści odniesiono się zarówno do aspektów regulowanych przepisami PRS jak i dobrej praktyki morskiej. Przedstawiono zagadnienia obliczeniowe w procesie konstrukcji kadłuba okrętowego, wymagań w stosunku do instalacji przeciwpożarowych jak i systemów automatyki. Przedstawiono zakres podstawowych szkoleń teoretycznych jak i praktycznych realizowanych na pokładzie okrętu oraz poligonie z makietą do ćwiczeń.W podsumowaniu wskazano nowe rozwiązania techniczne, których głównym atutem jest szybkość i skuteczność detekcji oraz likwidacji zagrożeń pożarowych.

The paper presents the legal issues and design problems relating to the construction of warships in the field of thermal loads and technical fire protection. Analyses were made to both aspects: rules established by the polish maritime classification society PRSandgood seamanship. There is presented the computational problems in the process of ship hull structure, requirements for the fire protection and automation systems. There are showed the range of basic theoretical training and practical carried on board the ship, and on the ships model in the firefighting range of exercise. The summary identifies new technology, whose main advantage is the speed and efficiency of the detection and elimination of fire hazards

The paper describes and analyses possible forms of terrorist attacks against Polish ships. Four scenarios are developed – attacks against military ship in territorial waters (committed by Islamist terrorist group), Islamist nuclear attack against international fleet in the USA, attack against ship with LGBT passengers in territorial waters (committed by domestic Christian extremists) and attack against cargo ship in German harbor (committed by eco-terrorists).

In the article the Standing NATO Response Force Mine Countermeasures Group 1 is being presented. The characteristics of the Polish Navy mine countermeasure vessels which were delegated to the Group are presented. Stages of mine countermeasures conducted by destroyers are discussed.

Since a few years work is underway in the Polish Armed Forces and Polish Navy on the reconstruction of organisation and training-methodological procedures. The observation of the training reality, grades received by the units, and research findings all confirm the need of transformation in the area of training based on allied and national standardised guidelines. The article discusses basic principles of training and methodology based on new doctrine and normative documentation pertaining to training, which are currently being finalised by the staff of the Doctrine and Training Directorate at the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces. Main elements of the training process are discussed with particular emphasis on the organisational side of training, whose philosophy in the near future will have a decisive impact on the entire training system of the Armed Forces. In conclusion, based on the deliberations, proposals of change have been formulated as well as conclusions are provided in the area of refining training and methodological aspects of the Polish Navy.
