Niniejszy artykuł jest kontynuacją cyklu artykułów z lat poprzednich o odlewanych pomnikach krakowskich. Przedstawiono historię powstania pomnika Dżoka, psa którego życie na stałe wpisało się w wydarzenia krakowskie. Przedstawiono genezę i charakterystykę pomnika oraz wskazano, że ismieją podobne pomniki psiej wierności w innych miastach na świecie.

The article is a continuation of the cycle of articles on the Cracow cast monuments published in the issues of Przeglaąd Odlewnictwa in the previous years. The history of the origin of the monuments to the dog, whose name was "Dżok", and whose life was connected with the events in Cracow is given. The genesis and characteristics of the monument are presented. It has also been pointed out that similar monuments of the dog's faithfulness can be found in other cities all over the world.

Przedstawiono niektóre fakty dotyczące odlewanego pomnika znanego, choć zapomnianego przez krakowian, architekta Franciszka Mączyńskiego, twórcy projektów wielu krakowskich budowli z przełomu XIX i XX wieku. Wskazano na autora rzeźby oraz na odlewnię, która prawdopodobnie wykonała figurę architekta. Pomnik ten znajduje się na dziedzińcu kościoła OO. Jezuitów pod wezwaniem Serca Jezusowego przy ul. Mikołaja Kopernika w Krakowie.

Some facts concerning the cast statue of Franciszek Mączyński the well-known but forgotten by the Cracovians architect, and the designer of a lot of the buildings in Kraków on the turn of the 19th century are given. The author of the sculpture is pointed out to as well as the foundry which in all probabilities made the statue of the architect. The statue is in the yard of the Jesuits Church, dedicated to the Sacred Heart, in Nicholas Copernicus Street in Kraków.

Opisano jeden z krakowskich pomników postawionych ku czci znanego polskiego komediopisarza Michała Bałuckiego (1837-1901). Zwrócono uwagę na dorobek pisarski komediopisarza i wskazano na motywy jego samobójczej śmierci oraz podano niektóre fakty towarzyszące pogrzebowi pisarza, a także budowie pomnika będącego ozdobą Plant Krakowskich.

One of the Cracow monuments erected in honour of the well-known Polish writer of comedies Michal Baluchi (1837-1901) is described Attention has been paid to the literary output of the writer of comedies and the motives of his suicidal death have been pointed out. Some facts which accopanied the funeral of the writer and also the erection of the monument which is a pride of the Cracow Planty, a belt of greenery being four kilometres long around the Old City, are given.

W artykule opisano historię powstania i rekonstrukcji, zburzonego przez hitlerowców w 1940 r., Pomnika Grunwaldzkiego, będącego symbolem nie tylko wielkiego zwycięstwa polskiego oręża nad Krzyżakami w 1410 roku, ale również przestrogą dla społeczeństwa przed zagrożeniem bytu narodu polskiego ze strój ny Niemiec i Rosji pod koniec XIX wieku. Wielkim orędownikiem sprawy polskiej i fundatorem Pomnika Grunwaldzkiego był polski kompozytor i wielki patriota Ignacy Jan Paderewski, który po latach starań doprowadził do wykonania pomnika i umieszczenia symbolu polskiego patriotyzmu i historii na Placu Jana Matejki w Krakowie, w dniu 15 lipca 1910 roku, w pięćsetlecie tego zwycięstwa. Artykuł przedstawia poszczególne grupy tematyczne, które obok głównej postaci Króla Władysława Jagiełły na koniu, umieszczone na kamiennym postumencie pomnika, wszystkie nawiązują do historii wielkiej bitwy, którą stoczyły polskie i litewskie wojska pod Grunwaldem. Obecnie pomnik ten jest uznawany za jeden z piękniejszych pomników Krakowa, budząc zachwyt zarówno Krakowian jak i osób Kraków zwiedzających.

In the article the history of the existence and reconstruction of the Grunwald Monument destroyed by the Nazis in 1940 is described This Monument is not only a symbol of the great victory of the Polish arms over the Teutonic Knights in the year 1410, but also a warning of the community against the threat of the existence of the Polish nation from the side of Germany and Russia at the end of the 19th century. The great advocate of the Polish cause and founder of the Grunwald Monument was Jan Paderewski, Polish composer and patriot, who after years of efforts brought about the making of the Monument and situating the symbol of the Polish patriotism and history at Jan Matejko Square in Kraków on 15th July 1910, it means on the quincetenary of the victory. The article presents the individual thematical groups, who - beside the central figure of King Władysław Jagiełło on horseback - are all connected with the history of the great battle fought by the Polish and Lithuanian armies in the vicinity of Grunwald. Nowadays this Monument is considered as one of the most beautiflil monuments in Kraków ravishing both its inhabitants and the tourists visiting this famous town in Poland.

Opisano jeden ze wspaniałych pomników krakowskich, pomnik słynnego polskiego astronoma Mikołaja Kopernika (1473-1543) usytuowany na Plantach Krakowskich w pobliżu Collegium Novum. Autorem modelu odlewniczego jest znany polski artysta rzeźbiarz Cyprian Godebski, a odlew wykonała w XIX w. włoska odlewnia LIPPICH w Pistoi k. Florencji. Przedstawiono historię powstania pomnika oraz omówiono jego koncepcję artystyczną.

One of the splendid Kraków monuments, the monument of Mikołaj Kopernik (1473-1543), is described. The monument is situated in the Kraków green belt ..Planty" near Collegium Novum. The author of the foundry pattern is Cyprian Godebski, a well-known Polish sculptor. The casting was made in the Italian foundry LIPPICH from Pistoi Florence in the 19th century.

Artykuł przypomina tę technologię w związku z uroczystością odsłonięcia w Mediolanie posągu Konia według projektu Leonarda da Vinci dla uczczenia działalności tego niezwykłego artysty międzi innymi w dziedzinie sztuki odlewniczej.

Casting a monument as a whole belongs to these foundry technologies which have gone out of use, but still make an important stage in the history of art casting. The article reminds this technology on account of the ceremony which took place in Milan and concerned the unveiling of the statue of The Horse made occording to the project of Leonardo da Vinci, to commemorate the activities of this extremely talented artist, among others in the domain of art castings.
