he car-2-car communication it is a must for the next generation of cars. Such a functionality will increase the road safety by enhancing drivers awareness about road conditions and eventual obstacles. It can be also used to inform the cars behind about risky situations in order to trigger early avoidance actions (e.g. breaking). The available technologies were analyzed in order to define the best solution that should be accepted by most car manufacturers. A consortium took the responsibility to define a standard in this domain. The current paper analyze the feasibility of using a system based on LiFi technology, from image processing point of view for automatic beams detection. The paper consider the solution of using the beams of the car are used as a sender of information and an onboard camera running a special software is used as a receiver. This solution has the advantage of using already available hardware with small adaption, and only integrate the software.

Fibre-optic transmission, compared to other transmission media, such as coaxial cables or microwave waveguides, has numerous advantages, i.a.: minor attenuation or the ability to transmit broadband signals. The paper discusses the results of studying a broadband transmission system, which utilizes a fibre-optic link. The measurements of frequency and transfer characteristics were taken. Furthermore, the response of the system to a pulse signal was recorded.

Transmisja światłowodowa w porównaniu do innych mediów transmisyjnych, takich jak kable koncentryczne czy falowody mikrofalowe posiada wiele zalet, m.in.: niewielkie tłumienie czy możliwość przesyłania sygnałów o szerokim paśmie. W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań szerokopasmowego systemu transmisji wykorzystującego łącze światłowodowe. Przeprowadzono pomiary charakterystyki częstotliwościowej oraz przetwarzania. Ponadto została zarejestrowana odpowiedź układu na sygnał impulsowy.

We extend the description of a discrete-time cellular neural network, depicting the behaviour of both cellular and morphological processors, to any type of dual-rail processors. We show that a system with two arrays of differential pairs of transceivers can be treated as a two-layer cellular network and that it can perform morphological and rank order filter operations. As an illustration we built and tested a dual-rail processor composed of arrays of GaAs optical thyristor differential pairs and highlight experimental results on median filtering
