W pracy zastosowane zostało kryterium modelowania obwodów elektrycznych za pomocą schematów zawierających elementy o parametrach rozłożonych czyli tak zwane linie długie. Przedstawiono funkcje, jak również ich widma częstotliwościowe, które w zadowalający sposób aproksymują udary napięciowe lub prądowe wyładowań atmosferycznych. Zaprezentowano wyniki symulacji wykonanych za pomocą programu komputerowego PSpice uproszczonego obwodu trójfazowego rażonego takim wyładowaniem.

Modelling electrical circuits by application of schemes containing elements with distributed parameters such as transmission lines has been applied in this research. Functions approximating voltage or current atmospheric discharges have been presented together with frequency spectra of these functions. The results of computer simulations obtained with the help of PSpice software have been presented for a simplified three-phase circuit subject to such discharge.

The present investigation deals with the reflection of plane periodic waves incident at the surface of a homogeneous initially stressed transversely isotropic fibrereinforced thermoelastic medium. The wave equations are solved by imposing proper conditions on displacements, stresses and temperature distribution. Numerically simulated results have been depicted graphically for different angles of incidence with respect to frequency. Some special cases of interest have also been deduced from the present investigation.

The problem of reflection of plane waves in a micropolar thermodiffusion elastic is investigated in the context of the coupled theory. The amplitude ratios of various reflected waves are continuous functions of the angle of incidence and material parameters of the medium. A graphical representation of amplitude ratios is presented and the impact of micropolarity and diffusion property of the medium is observed to be significant. Some special cases of interest are deduced from the present article.

A problem of reflection and transmission of an SH-wave through a self-reinforced elastic slab (layer) sandwiched between two transversely isotropic and inhomogeneous elastic solid half-spaces has been investigated. Formulae for reflection and refraction coefficients are obtained in a closed form and it is found that these coefficients are strongly influenced by the anisotropy and inhomogeneity of the half-spaces and on the reinforcement parameters of the sandwiched layer. These coefficients are computed for different values of heterogeneity parameters of the half-spaces and reinforcement parameters of the sandwiched layer. An effect of thickness of sandwiched layer on these coefficients is also noticed.
