Nasilenie ruchu kołowego powoduje wzrost hałasu i zanieczyszczenia powietrza, a koszty utrzymania– renowacji i ogrzewania – rosną. Układ taki pozwala poprawić termikę przegrody, chronić tkankę zabytkową przed wpływem zanieczyszczeń, opadów atmosferycznych i hałasu przy zachowaniu jej oryginalności i dostępności. W artykule przedstawiono zalety stosowania szklanej obudowy w skali budynku i ulicy.

The density of a traffic will increase noise and air pollution, and the cost of living – renovation and heating are rising. Typical thermal renovation technologies are not acceptable due to their surface nature and covering the original elements. An interesting solution is the use of the double façade which is placed in the outer structure of the curtain wall at a distance from the brick walls. This system can improve the thermal parameters of a wall, protect the historic substance from the effects of air pollution, acid rain and noise, while maintaining its originality and accessibility. The article presents the advantages of using a glass cover in the scale of the building and the street.
