Umiejętny dobór zautomatyzowanych środków produkcji zwiększa efektywność ich wykorzystania i wymiernie może wpływać na wysokość kosztów produkcji, zadanie to ułatwia posiadanie odpowiednich narzędzi, dzięki którym istnieje możliwość przewidywania efektów (produkcyjne, organizacyjne i ekonomiczne) podejmowanych działań inwestycyjnych; w pracy podjęto próbę rozwiązania tego zagadnienia w odniesieniu do projektu elastycznej linii produkcyjnej, przedstawiono założenia i przyjęte składniki kosztów.

Automatization of production involves high investment costs. A sensible selection of the automatized production means guarantees their good effectiveness, which influences the production costs. This boils down to having proper tools thanks to which it is possible to forecast the effect (relating to production, organization, economy) of undertaking an investment. This paper presents an attempt of dealing with that problem with reference to the project of the flexible machining line. The part 1 contains the relevant initial data and assumed cost components, while the part 2 will set out methods of their using in the task of balancing the flexible machining line.

This paper presents different aspects of applying decision support systems (DSS) in processes of the analysis and evaluation of an organisation performance. The analysis and evaluation of an organisation performance is based on the financial analysis and evaluation as well as SWOT evaluation. The evaluation model of an organisation performance, which consists of both models; the financial analysis and evaluation together with the SWOT ones, is shown. The improvement of an organisation performance evaluation requires the implementation of information systems, and DSS in particular. Such a system and its implementation in a given knowledge base together with the example of its application in the evaluation processes is presented. The paper indicates that DSS constitutes a useful tool supporting the organisation evaluation.
