The article presents issues related to the design of the steel-reinforced concrete structures using one of the available in Poland computer-aided design programs based on a system for Building Information Modelling (BIM) developed by Autodesk, The idea of BIM system applied in calculation and design process was briefly characterised. The practical application of software such as Autodesk's BIM-based system to design the building of mixed steel-reinforced concrete construction is presented.
