Reinforced concrete roof tensile girders, made both of prestressed concrete and of cable concrete, have been widely used in the country since the mid 1950s, constituting the main prefabricated elements of the covering of building structures. The girders of this type are still produced and used, but to a much lesser extent. In most cases, reinforced concrete tensile girders cooperate with the concrete overlay construction made after laying the roofing panels, and also with the roof panels themselves, which constitutes an additional safety reserve for the buildings.
