W artykule przedstawiono ogólną charakterystykę ścieżki i wieży widokowej w Krynicy Zdroju na południu Polski, która to wieża jest obecnie w końcowej fazie realizacji prac budowlanych i jej otwarcie przewidziane jest w okresie wakacyjnym 2019 roku. Prezentowany przykład wieży i ścieżki napowietrznej może posłużyć do sformułowania założeń i tez określających współczesne tendencje w procesach kształtowania i projektowania wież widokowych odgrywających obecnie rolę obiektów o funkcji turystyczno-rekreacyjnej. W opracowaniu przedstawiono podstawowe założenia i rozwiązania konstrukcyjno-budowlane realizowanej wieży i ścieżki oraz sposobu jej posadowienia w naturalnym środowisku górskim.

The article presents the general characteristics of the path and lookout tower in Krynica Zdrój in the south of Poland, which tower is currently in the final phase of construction works and its opening is planned for the holiday season of 2019. The presented example of the tower and the overhead path can be used to formulate the assumptions and theses defining contemporary tendencies in the processes of shaping and designing observation towers currently playing the role of objects with a tourism and recreation function. The study presents the basic assumptions and construction and construction solutions of the tower and path being implemented as well as the method of its foundation in the natural mountain environment.

Forts XIX-XX c. in region Brest (Belarus) have historical and cultural value, cultural and tourist potential. Now this is forts destruction and use ineffective. The revitalization of historic forts including: principles of restoration and adaptation to cultural and tourist use, the suggestions about architectural and town-planning organization of the cultural and tourist objects (the determination of composition, capacity and location of services, the organization of transport and pedestrian movement and tourists’ routes, the rehabilitation and renovation of green plantations), the suggestions about the composition and contents of design work have been worked out. The methods used in the research are as follows: genetic analysis, graphical and analytical analysis, SWOT-analysis, correlation analysis, observation. Preconditions of modern use fortifications constructions in tourism system on an example of the architectural project revitalization fortification constructions in area Kozlovichi in Brest are developed.

Architecture serving the tourist purpose consists of numerous objects of diverse functions, such as hotels, refuges, pensions, sanatoria, restaurants, congress halls, garages, camping sites, railway stations and many others. They greatly influence the landscape. In the report several groups of solutions have been presented, which interact with the mountain landscape. 1. Objects faithful to tradition of indigenous materials (stone and wooden buildings with simple forms, i.e. refuges and mountain doses). 2. Objects faithful to the traditions of regional ornamentation: wooden hotels and pensions, with long galleries, balconies, with characteristic wooden details and the construction specific for the region. 3. Hotels, holiday houses, recreational and skiing objects creating alpine agglomerations, destructively affecting the mountainous landscape. Modern ambitious accomplishments, consistent with high-tech directions, made of glass and steel - alpine meteorological stations, cable-railway stations with unconventional, interesting architecture.
