Moim zdaniem posłuszeństwo jest jednym z podstawowych problemów, z którym boryka się każdy. Zapewne na różnej płaszczyźnie i w niejednorodnym stopniu. Jest to problem trudny do ogarnięcia ze względu na wielowątkowe uwikłanie i rozmaite jego rozumienie, jednak, według mnie, warty podjęcia. Powodem próby zmierzenia się z problemem jest moje przekonanie o dużym znaczeniu społecznym zagadnienia. Uzasadnieniem jest założenie, wedle którego posłuszeństwo należy rozważyć przynajmniej w dwóch płaszczyznach myślenia: pokojowym i wojennym. Pierwsza rozumie posłuszeństwo jako jedną z podstawowych zasad fundujących społeczny porządek, druga - proponuje rozważyć zagadnienie jako źródło inicjacji bojowego ducha, dopełniającego zwycięstwem każdą wojnę. Wykład wobec cywilnowojskowej wspólnoty akademickiej wydaje się być w tej sytuacji tym, czym poranna rosa dla deszczu. O tym będzie tu mowa.

The subject of the article is prolegomena to the lecture by Professor Zbigniew Stawrowski delivered at Dęblin Air Force Academy in May last year. The speech tackled the problem of soldier’s métier and service. The contents of the speech is presented in the further pages of this issue of Scientific Bulletin, thus the frame of the text includes the presentation of the scientific profile of the speaker, the justification of his choice as well as prerogatives which may aid implementation of the thought.

In the social system the scope of the term authority is perceived as infinite. The paper in the semantic analysis indicates factors determining authority impact in the pervasion process in terms of features of the certain identity and their location. They include attributes and signals, credibility and obedience. Authority must respond to them, because they enable the carrier of the authority to be put above the receiver, to make influence and as an effect of that to subordinate the receiver.
